Central Coast Section Boys, Girls Rankings – Dec. 11
The Central Coast Section boast some of the best teams and best collections of talent, and producing a ranking with so many good teams to choose from is no small task. With no further preamble, here are the initial boys and girls 2022/2023 rankings, starting with the girls.
GIRLS
It’s been a very competitive start to the season for the top girls teams in the CCS. There are some familiar names at the top with St. Francis, Los Altos, St. Ignatius, Menlo-Atherton and Archbishop Mitty rounding out the top five. To demonstrate how deep the CCS is, teams like Homestead, Los Gatos and Mountain View find themselves in the back part of the top 15.

BOYS
When putting together the boys ranking, there was only one choice for the top spot. All along, it was Bellarmine. The Bells backed it up with a win over No. 2 Alisal. Sacred Heart Prep and Gunn are also very worthy teams, just behind them, with Lincoln rounding out the top five. Palo Alto and North Salinas represent the rest of the unblemished teams, along with BCP and SHP.
