Morgan Sherrill
Morgan Sherrill
Sherill led a young Urbana side to the Maryland State 4A Regional Finals. As the Hawks center-back she was excellent at controlling the pace of the match and delivering timely passes to her teammates. She also plays a bit in the center midfielder so it will be interesting to see if she stays at CB next year or moves a bit more into the attack.
Sara Allwine

Allwine was integral to Calvert’s Maryland 2A Regional Championship run, scoring several key goals throughout the MPSAA playoffs. In addition to her excellent finishing ability, she can also deliver superb passes to her teammates and can dictate the pace of the match with her precise runs and ball control.
Despite suffering a knee injury during the season, Davitian was integral to Whitman’s run to the Maryland 4A State Championship crown, scoring 10 goals. A former ECNL Player of the Year and a fixture of the USYNT system, she has verbally committed to playing college soccer in 2024 at the University of Maryland-College Park.
The speedy Connors helped a young Titans team find their footing and make it to the top of the Central Maryland Conference standings. She possesses a strong right foot and can hit shots from both close range and from distance. Her strong form has immediately paid dividends for her club side Baltimore Armour, scoring multiple goals in the recent NCFC Showcase.
McDonough had another strong season in the IAAM and it was thanks in large part due to the work up top by Haghgoo. The junior center attacking midfielder was a menace to defenses all season long, using her speed to break through backlines and give them little respite during matches. She will be rejoining her Maryland United ECNL side this spring who are looking to repeat as North Atlantic Conference Champions.
Lathrop was the catalyst for Glenelg’s attack all season, including scoring a brace in the Maryland 2A State Championship semifinals. A very tactically sound midfielder that can make superb diagonal runs at goal, Lathrop is unafraid to take shots at both close range and from distance. She has verbally committed to playing college soccer in 2024 at Purdue University.
Kate Levy
Kate Levy
Levy is a smash mouth midfielder who likes to directly engage with defenders and uses quick passes to open up plays for her teammates. With McDonogh this season, she led the side to the IAAM A Conference Championship, pushing Mercy to the limits in an excellent 1-0 match. She is a two-sport athlete that excels at lacrosse as well, as evidenced by some of the runs that she makes in the midfield.
Bowie’s run to the Maryland 4A State Championship semifinals was thanks in large part to the work of Watkins, whose work in the midfield helped a young Bulldog side earn several key goals. She plays both the midfield and forward position but with Bowie this season she thrived in the midfield, setting up plays for her teammates and delivering timely shots from distance.
Highlights
Kush is another player that plays at both the defender and midfield positions for her high school (Good Counsel) and club (Maryland United FC). With Good Counsel, she seemed to be more willing to more into the attack this season where she could use her size and strength to overtake smaller defenders. She also makes excellent runs off of the ball, which played a huge role in Good Counsel’s prolific attack this season. She has verbally committed to playing college soccer in 2024 at the United States Naval Academy.
As a wingback for Sidwell Friends, Maltby used her speed to open up defenses and give the high-scoring Foxes ample opportunities at goal. Maltby has a clever left foot and can use it to either whip curling crosses into the box or hit a strong shot from distance. Her leadership led the young Foxes side to the DCSAA Semifinals, a strong effort that the side will loom to improve on next season.
