Check out a scouting report on some of the players from the rankings below.
Johnson is a member of the U.S. U15 Youth National Team, which gives quite a bit of credibility to her ranking as the top prospect from the state. Johnson, as far as I can tell, does not have a highlight reel available at this time, but if she did it would be 10 minutes long. The Nationals star regularly makes big-time plays in games. She is a forward/attacking midfielder. She is right-footed. She likes to get on the ball often as she always showing for the pass. When on the ball, she is quick to make decisions. She has the quality to turn and face goal when she doesn’t feel pressure on her back. She is good at using her body when there is a defender touch-tight. When she breaks free, she has all of the tools in the attacking third to be either a provider or a finisher. Johnson has the potential to be the top player in the country in this class.
Canada is a wonderfully skillful attacking midfielder. She is right-footed with superb close control of the ball. She has a tendency to force the pass going forward as she is always looking to create scoring chances for her team. During the ECNL season, she’s had a couple of highlight reel goals dribbling through the opposition in the 18-yard box before ripping home a shot. The Hawks star has that quality to shine in tight spaces.
Sheldon stood out from game film while watching players in this class. She scored a heck of a goal against Minnesota Thunder earlier this season in ECNL play. She has nimble footwork and composure in the box.
High energy player. Could be a forward or attacking midfielder. Good in the transition. Always on the front foot. Right footed. Always pushing forward. Like her effort and energy.
Ava Landstra Ava Landstra 5’10” | M Unity Christian | 2026 State #77 Nation MI is one of those players who is a dominant presence on the field. She plays as a defensive midfielder for her age group because she controls the tempo of the game from that role. She knows when to step up and press the pace and when to back off and let the game come to her side. She is one of the better finishers from that role, which is why she often features in a more attacking role when playing up an age group or two.
Highlights
Ndana was a standout from the Girls Academy playoffs last season. She previously played in a more advanced role, but I think I’ve only seen her at center back this season. Nationals has only conceded six goals in 12 games in the Girls Academy this season. The whole defense is outstanding, but Ndana deserves her spotlight because it often feel like she is impossible to get past – always well-positioned and quick to react, Ndana is a top, top player in that role.
Curtis is listed as a forward/midfielder on her player profile – and I’ve seen her play as an attacking midfielder for her club side this season -but it would not be a surprise to see at any field player role on the team. She has the competitive drive and tactical intelligence to shine at any spot on the field. She is a fierce defender and puts in strong tackles. In the attack, she is lively with the ball and has shown good vision when given space. Curtis’ versatility makes her an elite talent in this class.
