While much of the scouting at the event was directed toward the U15 and U16 age groups, there were a handful of players from the 2027 class who stood out from the games. Below is a breakdown of the performances from the rising stars of the 2027 class.
Sarah Mills Sarah Mills #VALUE! TX , Sting Austin 08 – Incredible performance from Mills against Slammers. She battled against some top talent from the 2026 class and she never quit. She is a center back that should be considered among the top talents from that class.
Libby Benson Libby Benson F State TX , Sting Austin 08 – Benson has a ton of potential. She is a top prospect from the center midfield position. She is good on the ball and showed good vision. She drifts sometimes too far wide but a simple tactical improvement will really take her game to the next level.
Addyson Crumley, Boise Thorns 08 – Crumley, the Boise goalkeeper against Santa Rosa, came up with a massive save on a breakaway. She also did well changing where the game was played with her strong kicks and clean clearances.
Ashlyn Bringedahl Ashlyn Bringedahl F TX , Sting Dallas Royal 08 – Bringedahl has the pace and skill to be a top prospect among the attackers in this class.
Emmy O’Donnell Emmy O’Donnell 5'4" | M Concord-Carlisle | 2027 #103 Nation MA , FC Stars Blue 08 – Love the way that O’Donnell competed against Sting Black. It looked like she needed a second to figure out how to defend against her mark and then when she solved the puzzle, she was ready to battle. She did well staying glued to her mark. Tyler Mar Tyler Mar D CA tens and Delaney Bertos Delaney Bertos D MA were also standouts for FC Stars.
Aubrey Tagmir, OK Energy 08 – It’s easy to see why Tagmir was recently called up to the US Youth National Team Talent ID event for her region. She is an excellent center back who didn’t put a foot wrong in the game against La Roca.
Grace Whitfield Grace Whitfield D OK , OK Energy 08 – Whitfield has some real hops. The way she elevated over a crowd of players for a header (the shot missed the mark) late in the second half was rare for this level.
Saleen Koszorus, Crossfire Premier 08 – Koszorus had a stellar performance against Slammers FC Koge on Saturday. The attacking midfielder was influential in the victory.
Laina Harder Laina Harder D Santa Margarita Catholic | 2027 State #135 Nation CA , Slammers FC Koge 08 – Harder was a standout for Slammers against Crossfire. She battled against the pace and strength of that talented attack. She made a number of plays to keep Crossfire away from goal.
Anastasia Showler-Little, Portland Thorns 07 – I think Showler-Little was the only 2027 I saw playing with the 07s over the weekend. She fit in well while playing up a couple of age groups. She nearly scored a goal against Ohio Premier as she got on the end of a cross. She is one of those players who just looks like a player with the way she moves on the field.
Elliott Severson, Sting Black 08 – I saw Severson play left back against FC Stars. She was part of the defense that only allowed one goal in three games. Amelia Mininger also had some bright moments in the win over FC Stars.
