Best Uncommitted Talent at PrepSoccer ID Camp – SoCal

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>TORRANCE, California - The first PrepSoccer Girls ID Camp was held in Southern California on Sunday. The attendance of the event included some of the top players from the ECNL, ECML- RL, Girls Academy, and other leagues - both from California and from other parts of the country.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With players coming into Torrance to play at the Toyota Sports Complex, the takeaway was there is a lot of talent still out there in the 2024 and 2025 classes who are uncommitted. She played as the No. 9 and ended up as the top scorer with three goals. She was excellent at playing with her back to the goal. In a situation where she is just learning the tendencies of her teammates on the fly, she immediately found a role and a way to elevate her team. She punched in some goals off great passes and crosses, but it was her work off the ball to get into those spots that really showed her quality. She is a midfielder who probably doesn't take that many shots from game to game, but she was one of the best finishers on the day. She has excellent technique and showed it during the finishing drills as well as the small-side games. They might need to act quickly as Menes said that she is weighing options at this time for her commitment to the next level. Every one of the goalkeepers has the qualities to shine at the next level. Connor impressed during the small-side games when she was forced to make a number of saves on close efforts. She had a few great tip saves and a couple excellent kick saves. She also has excellent footwork in distribution.
