The ECNL Tennessee National Event wrapped up last month. The PrepSoccer scout was on hand for the action. Below is a scouting report and player standouts from the game between Crossfire Premier 08 and San Diego Surf.

Both teams showcased they can build out of the back well and are comfortable doing so. Crossfire Premier had the first real chance in the match in the first three minutes. San Diego Surf showed creative team work to get out of tight areas in both halves. They showcased they do well at playing each other the way they face and keeping the ball in tight areas. Crossfire Premier were able to make it 1-0 from a free kick about 15 minutes into the match. The free kick was well taken from the sideline and [player_tooltip player_id='28466' first='Vienna' last='Whipple'] was there to tap in the bouncing ball. The game was very back and forth after the goal. Each team had times of keeping the ball in the attacking half but Crossfire was more dangerous. San Diego Surf did a good job of keeping Crossfire out of the box but Josie Biehl had a great performance with some big saves later in the game. Overall, both teams showed they work well together and build off each other instead of having one go-to player. San Diego Surf played a hard-fought game with creative ideas going forward. But Crossfire Premier were able to have more success in the attacking third and won 1-0 in this competitive game.
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["82502"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"u003cp style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003eJosie Biehl plays as a goalkeeper for San Diego Surf G08. She had two major moments towards the end of the game that were impressive saves to keep the hope alive for San Diego Surf to come back into this game. Biehl had good reactions to the shots Crossfire Premier tested her with. Biehl also made good decisions when she had the ball and displayed, she has a strong leg. May is a patient and strong player who looks to play off her teammates often. When she had the ball, she was confident under pressure. She was patient to play the open player to drag defenders out of position. May also did a good job of checking her shoulder before receiving the ball often. She was a big reason San Diego Surf was able to create opportunities in the attack. May also made a difference defensively in the midfield. She was able to make tackles before the back line to create counter attacks.
