Over 220 teams were in action over the three days of the event and Prep Soccer was in attendance, following several matches a day and taking a lot at some of the top-level prospects in the country. On Saturday, we were at the Toyota Soccer Center, in Frisco, where we got to watch 16 of the 52 teams of the 17s age group compete.
We’ve already highlighted the players that stood out in the encounters we got to watch and now we’ve expanded that a little bit and listed more prospects that left a strong impression, looking at one position at a time. Our last positional article will cover the forwards:
Tuilevuka came off the bench in Seattle United’s match against Sting Austin and left a positive impression. A very physical player, she knows how to use her body to dominate defenders and did a very good job with that. Tuilevuka first played more centrally, occupying Sting’s center backs and creating chances with her ability to get the ball with her back to the goal and make quick turns to finish. Despite her size, she also displayed the ability of playing in wider positions, making good runs and beating opponents with her dribbling.
Incorvaia was an important offensive weapon for Match Fit Academy as they defeated Midwest United FC 3-0. Playing on the right side of the team’s attack, she was very active, moving around well to get on the ball and create plays. Incorvaia used her pace and dribbling to beat defenders and also combined well with her teammates. Despite not being very physical, she had a good presence inside the penalty box and scored one of the team’s goals in the match by getting on the end of a cross and heading the ball to the net.

Garrett brought a lot of energy to Sporting Blue Valley’s offense in a 3-0 win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Playing on the right side of the team’s attack, she displayed a well-rounded game, using different tools to create problems for their opponents. A very physical player, Garrett was good at getting the ball with her back to the goal, but also had strong runs with the ball, dribbling opponents and bringing the ball inside to finish chances. She also had a good presence inside the penalty box to get on the end of crosses coming from the left side.
Highlights
McEnhimer had a very good start to the event, scoring two goals in Richmond United’s 4-3 victory over the Colorado Rapids. The team’s most advanced player, she was the target for most of Richmond’s offensive plays and used her mobility to be a constant threat to their opponents. McEnhimer was good at making runs with and without the ball, finding ways to explore the space available. The forward used both feet well to dribble and finish and was very calm in front of the goal, waiting for the right moment to shoot.
Highlights
Wagner was a constant threat for FC Dallas in their 2-0 win over the Portland Thorns. Playing on the left side of the team’s attack, she helped them stretch their opponents’ backline by playing near the sidelines and commanding attention from their defenders. Wagner was very good in 1v1 situations and also combined well with her teammates in some give-and-go plays as she attempted to infiltrate in their defense.
