The young stars of Texas series resumes with six talented young players, a junior, three sophomore and two freshmen as this group is on the rise and their names will start being whispered around future college commits very soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='169446' first='Presley' last='Abshire'], Defender/Midfielder/Forward, Tomball, Class of 2026

Some players get branded as players that can play all over, but Abshire is truly that. She plays at all three levels, plays any defensive spot, any offensive midfield spot and any forward spot. The Tomball High player plays club with the Dynamo 2008 ECRL team. Abshire is getting into even better shape than before, and her first touch and her confidence are improving right along with that. She continues to work on her speed, making her even more of a threat. She is already fast, but getting faster. She's a dangerous threat off of corner kicks, scoring a lot of goals that way as she is now scoring in a variety of ways now that she is playing in such a versatile role. Along with being fast, having good fitness, which continue to improve, she is a very competitive player and one who enjoys that her coaches trust to play here all over the pitch.

[player_tooltip player_id='121581' first='Victoria' last='Delatorre'], Outside Defender, Klein, Class of 2026

Delatorre has been a varsity player with Klein since she was a freshman, playing a big role as an outside back in her sophomore season. She plays club for the Challenge 07 ECNL-RL team. She has been garnering interest and attention since she was last featured as she was able to guest play with the 07 ECNL team at the Lonestar Showcase in January, with the 06 ECNL team in Dallas in February and just played in the ECNL Florida Showcase. She has been invited to the roster for the AC Houston Sur team in the USL-W league for May and June. Delatorre has worked very hard on improving her vocal leadership. She holds herself accountable, and that allows her to hold others accountable.

[player_tooltip player_id='169448' first='Alexis' last='Diaz'], Outside Defender/Wing, Sotomayr, Class of 2027

Diaz is a freshman at Sotomayor High, who plays her club at SA City, playing GA. She plays as an outside back, or a wide wing depending on the formation. She is a player that can contribute at both ends. She has great versatility in that regard, and can play on either side of the pitch. She's quick and agile, and has become even more so as she works hard on those areas. She's a smart player, aware of what she's doing on the pitch, but looking to mature in those areas as well. She is a focused and tenacious player, who understands the game and leaves the pitch knowing where she can improve. She has the ability to quickly visualize where players are and should be, allowing her to be creative. She's a team player and she has a passion to be successful on the pitch, and off the pitch as a student.

[player_tooltip player_id='112682' first='Reagan' last='Freitag'], Defensive Midfielder/Central Defender, Sandra Day O'Connor, Class of 2027

Freitag plays as a center back and also as a No. 6. She attends Sandra Day O'Connor High and plays club at Class Elite for the 2009 ECNL team. As a freshman, she was excellent in developing her skills and knowledge while working as a holding mid. She built herself into a pivot player at that spot that can help create scoring opportunities for her teammates. Freitag is getting much better when moving off the ball, she's an excellent defender no matter where she is as she takes pride in her craft. She is an athletic player who is very technical, she shows good vision, good soccer IQ and this allows her to be very creative.

[player_tooltip player_id='27079' first='Melanie' last='Oldner'], Forward/Midfielder, Kingwood, Class of 2025

Oldner recently committed to Troy University as the junior has the luxury of knowing exactly where she will be playing after high school. She is a Kingwood High player and a Challenge SC U17 ECNL player. She can play as a forward or as a midfielder. Older is a player that has great field awareness, and she finds herself constantly scanning the field, thinking moves ahead. She can spot those small pockets of space and distributes well in the final third. Oldner is looking to become more aggressive when it comes to taking players on 1v1. She is a clean, tidy player but is looking to develop more of an edge during the club season. Oldner will put some great skills on display this spring as she is very technical, determined, dynamic and has a very high soccer IQ.

[player_tooltip player_id='153140' first='Sophia' last='Sandoval'], Outside Defender, Cypress Ranch, Class of 2026

Sandoval can play outside back on either side, and does so very well for Cypress Ranch High and for the Rise 08 GA team. She is a speedy sophomore with excellent agility and defends relentlessly, to the point where her high school team only allowed 10 goals all season long. She brings a speed and quickness element to the team when they push forward, and she is getting better with her foot work when in possession. She's also becoming a more patient player when coming up the side. She's strong, but getting stronger, from a physicality standpoint and from the standpoint of putting more power behind her shots because she loves to try to score when the opportunity presents itself.

The young stars of Texas series resumes with six talented young players, a junior, three sophomore and two freshmen as this group is on the rise and their names will start being whispered around future college commits very soon.
