Texas State Tournament Top Performers: 6A Boys

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The University Interscholastic League (UIL) high school soccer season came to an end this past weekend, with the four best teams in each division clashing for the state title at the Birkelbach Field, in Georgetown, between Wednesday and Saturday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some of the most promising players of the Lone Star State were in action in Georgetown, playing big roles for their teams as they battled for the state title and we'll take the next few days to recognize some of them who stood out with strong performances.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Division 6A saw the Seven Lakes Spartans from Katy successfully defend the title they won last season by taking Flower Mound down 2-1 in overtime. A very technical and intelligent player, Morrison set the team's offense up in the semifinals against Duncanville, assisting in the team's first goal in their 2-0 win. The No. 10 was even more clutch in the Championship Game, sending an inch-perfect free kick shot from 30 yards out into the back of the net in overtime to give the Spartans the title.
