One of the most anticipated moments of the MLS Next season has arrived, as starting this weekend, academies from all over the U.S. and Canada and international opponents will compete in the highly prestigious Generation Adidas Cup.

The tournament will have 40 teams competing in each of the U15 and U16 divisions at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, from March 27 to April 4 in what should be one of the highlights of the season. Teams were split into ten groups of four, and the best 16 (the ten pool winners and the six best second-placed teams) will advance to the playoffs.

The three MLS teams from the state of Texas will be represented in the tournament, and we'll preview each of them ahead of the opening day.

A right back, Morris is very consistent in the backline for the Dynamo. He's very strong defensively, showing great mobility to track opponents down and excellent timing in his defensive actions. Morris typically holds his own in 1v1 duels out wide, remaining patient to slow opponents down and waiting for the right moment to make a play for the ball. He has nice quality in possession, too, supporting the offense with solid distribution out of the back.

A highly technical and creative attacking midfielder, Gomez is one of the main forces in the team's offensive system. He's very quick in his mind and also with his execution, and his dribbling is unpredictable, making the lives of opponents who try to stop him really difficult. Gomez is very good at finding space between the lines to make plays, being capable of creating advantages with his dribbling and finding teammates in great spots with his intelligent passing. The attacking midfielder also likes to step into the penalty box to finish chances, and he is typically very precise with his shots.

With a solid combination of physical and technical tools, Georgas is extremely valuable for the Dynamo with his ability to play different roles at a high level. He can operate as an attacking midfielder, as a wide midfielder or wingback on both sides, and even fill in as a striker if needed. Georgas is very good at keeping possession and progressing the ball on the field, using his body to shield the ball as he moves forward. He's very intense on and off the ball and manages to keep a high level during entire matches. Georgas also has a good presence inside the box, finishing well both with his feet and his head.
