Moddelmog is a center back for the Houston Dynamo U15 team in the MLS Next League. He typically plays in the center of their back three, using his excellent positioning to step up and win the ball without having to make physical plays. He does hold his own in physical duels, though, and is very good at defending the penalty box, especially in the air. Moddelmog’s passing is very reliable and, although he doesn’t take many risks with his distribution, he’s not one to give the ball away, even when under pressure or facing his own goal.

Playing in the center of the Dynamo’s back three, Moddelmog had a very solid performance for them on the backline. His positioning was impeccable, and that allowed him to consistently step up and interrupt San Antonio FC ‘s attacking plays without having to get into physical duels. Moddelmog also did a great job of following up on his defensive actions with intelligent plays on the ball, displaying great calm and allowing his team to keep possession. He also appeared well in the team’s buildup, patiently and efficiently connecting passes out of the back.

Moddelmog is a right center back on the Houston Dynamo MLS Next. He was outstanding for his team during the postseason run and throughout the season. He’s an elite defensive prospect. He’s been identified by US Soccer Scouts as one of the top prospects in the country and was included in the Central Regional ID Camp for the 2011 age group in April. Moddelmog is a well-rounded defender. He’s strong on the ball with good skill and vision. He has defensive qualities that not many players in this class possess. He is going to be a name to know for the future from Texas.
