<p>After months of action in league play, the Girls Academy League is set to host its playoffs this week.</p>

<p>Teams from all around the country will make the trip to Norco, California, to compete in the playoffs and the showcase, which will take place at the SilverLakes Sports Complex from June 19-25.</p>

<p>Five Texas teams are set to compete in the U15, U16 and U17 divisions, so let's know a little bit more about them ahead of the event:</p>

<p><strong>HTX 09</strong></p>

<p>HTX advanced as the top team in the U15 Frontier Conference, with an undefeated campaign of 14 wins and four ties. The team from Houston will play in Pool H in Norco, facing Lamorinda SC, STA and Broomfield Soccer Club. The reliable [player_tooltip player_id='210641' first='Caelyn' last='Moore'] is their starting goalkeeper and she's protected by center backs [player_tooltip player_id='229570' first='Bryana' last='Molina'] and [player_tooltip player_id='148496' first='Emma' last='Harrell'], who both have solid physical skills and also stand out fo their positioning. [player_tooltip player_id='155523' first='Lexie' last='Byrd-Figueroa'] and Ella Bizell cover a lot of ground in midfield, giving the Montgomery twins Hallie and Harper the freedom they need to create from the wings. A very technical player, striker Alexis Baker is the focal point of their offense.</p>

<p><strong>HTX 08</strong></p>

<p>HTX ranked second in the Frontier Conference, with a campaign of 11 wins, four losses and three ties. They will compete in Pool G in Norco, where they will face FRAM SC, Washington East Surf Soccer Club and Oakwood Soccer Club. Karlee Dietrich starts in goal for them and she transmits a lot of stability to the team with her play. The backline has Madelaine Lovland on central defense and Bisan Abdalla as a frequent attacking option at left back. [player_tooltip player_id='89937' first='Caitlyn' last='Trosclair'] and [player_tooltip player_id='148473' first='Addison' last='Hunt'] control the midfield with their intensity, while [player_tooltip player_id='169298' first='Gabby' last='McCuistion'] is the team's most creative player. In attack, Victoria Fuentes is a threat with her pace at right winger while Sofia Arnold offers a strong presence inside the penalty box.</p>

<p><strong>Renegades SC 08</strong></p>

<p>Renegades were fourth in the U16 Frontier Conference with nine wins, six losses and three ties. In Norco, the side from the Dallas area will be in Pool C, alongside TopHat Gold, Albion SC Las Vegas and Indy Premier SC United. The talented Bailey Wallace does a good job for them between the posts. A skilled and smooth midfielder, Isabelle Alarcon-Vo has moved to center back recently and improved their buildup. A physical player, left back [player_tooltip player_id='89976' first='Lindsay' last='Burnett'] is a big part of their defensive efforts. Kamy Hampton is a key player in midfield, alongside the creative Bryce Johnson. Capable of playing as an outside back or a forward, [player_tooltip player_id='225429' first='Zeniyah' last='Russell'] contributes with her pace and versatility.</p>

<p><strong>Lonestar SC Red 07</strong></p>

<p>Lonestar finished second in the U17 Frontier Conference with 14 wins, one loss and three ties. The club from the Austin region was assigned to Pool F, having Columbia Premier Soccer Club, Long Island SC and Baltimore Armour as their first opponents. Brooke Escobar is their goalie. The backline in front of her has the hard-working JaKeyra Bryant at right back and Sofia Peter and Sloane Guion, who complement each other very well, on central defense. Melissa Araujo covers a lot of ground and plays with energy in midfield, allowing [player_tooltip player_id='26356' first='Shelby' last='Hollywood'] and Carter Utkov to focus on creating chances. Forward Gracie Ruthven is hard to stop in transition and can create chances on her own.</p>

<p>HTX qualified as the third-best team in the U17 Frontier Conference with 14 wins, two losses and two ties. They're in Pool C in the playoffs and are set to face SC del Sol, South Shore Select and West Florida Flames. Goalkeeper [player_tooltip player_id='54811' first='Patty' last='Staton'] is among the best in the region and she had a solid backline in front of her with Emily Fowlkes and Ella Davis at center back and [player_tooltip player_id='158832' first='Tamir' last='Shaw'], Gisele Kehres and Dayla Henderson as options at outside back. Zoeh Byrd-Figueroa plays at the base of their midfield, with [player_tooltip player_id='89902' first='Sophia' last='Saludares'] handling most of the chance-creation. In attack, [player_tooltip player_id='55783' first='Rhegan' last='Coombs'] is quick and skilled and can play on both wings, while [player_tooltip player_id='89908' first='Madison' last='Taylor'] is very dangerous inside the penalty box and does excellent holdup play.</p>
