ECNL Finals: Texas Teams – Solar SC 09

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After long and competitive nine months of action, the ECNL season is coming to an end and only the best eight teams in each age group will get to appear in the National Finals, which will take place in Richmond, Virginia, from July 10-13.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some club teams from Texas earned a spot among those and will be competing for the national title in just a few days. As we prepare for the highest point of the club season, we'll feature some of these sides ahead of the start of the tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Solar SC 09</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The team from the Dallas area has been a force in the U15 age group and finished at the top of the Texas Conference with a campaign of 13 wins, one loss and one tie. She typically plays as a left-sided center back and is very effective with her defensive actions. Davis reads opponents extremely well, is capable of anticipating their moves, and has enough physicality to force them into getting uncomfortable to pass and finish. She's not only versatile enough to play multiple roles in midfield but is also capable of contributing on both sides of the ball with the same efficiency. Corcoran can dispossess opponents and create chances with the same quality and heavily influences the team's way of playing. Mostly used on the wings, she uses her pace and extraordinary ball control, which allows her to dribble in no space, to beat opponents and create chances. Because she's so intelligent, skilled and calm in front of the goal, Aguilar often gets on the scoresheet, finishing her own chances or those created by her teammates.
