Prep Soccer Texas Girls ID Camp: Forwards to Know

The forwards put on a goal scoring clinic during the Texas edition of the Prep Soccer Girls ID Camp. The forwards in attendance showed their class throughout the camp, showing their ability to be dynamic on the ball. These forwards were crafty with the ball and expressed their attacking prowess with a wide variety of movements, abilities and skills. Despite the overwhelming heat on the day, these athletes showed their resilience and made countless sharp runs to find the end of their teammates passes and create chances on goal.   The following forwards were some of the most standout players within the entire camp. They played with passion, competitiveness and overall the desire to put the ball into the back of the net. Ludeke is crafty with the ball at her feet and maintains excellent ball control. Ludeke uses her skills to cut in and out of defenses and create space to build the attack. When defending, Ludeke shows that she is both ambitious and aggressive in her approach. She closes down passing lanes quickly and positions herself well to slow the opposition. When attacking, Ludeke shows great effectiveness in combining on one-two's to create dynamic passing opportunities. Ludeke uses efficient positioning to create goal-scoring opportunities.   Ludeke comes in at 5 '1, however uses her speed and agility to hold her own against more physical defenders. Miranda shows a lot of promise from wide positions and shows great ability at taking the byline and playing crosses in. Miranda shoots from distance well and even scored a 30-yard goal during the scrimmage. Miranda is very calm when on the ball and often finds herself with the patience to dribble out of pressure and turn on the defenders. Miranda moves into space well and is a consistent target on the attack.   Miranda stands at 5'4 and has good strength to hold off defenders. Miranda is speedy and has quick acceleration to make well-timed runs behind the opposition's defense. Hall plays hard and doesn't have any reservations taking on defensive responsibilities; Hall tackles fearlessly with pace during defensive situations. During the attack, Hall uses her quickness both on and off the ball to give her team a boost during attacking transition. Hall's greatest strength is her willingness to act as a team player. Hall tracks back on defense and is consistent in her willingness to contribute on the defense.   Hall is 5'6 and uses her physicality well both while attacking and during defensive transition. With good speed and agility, Hall's strength is simply a bonus for her. Lewis excels when taking space and applying pressure on the opposition's defense. Lewis's ability to dribble through pressure and crash the box, gives her a unique ability to cause attacking danger in various forms. Lewis uses her physicality and movement well, allowing her to shield off opposing defenders and change the point of attack when needed. Lewis's capability to take on diagonal runs and get in quickly behind defenses makes her dangerous on the attack.   Lewis stands at 5'5 and is solid in her physicality. Her physicality comes into play when holding off opposing players and stopping the press. Franks' game is defined by her ability to move quickly and decisively within the final third. Franks utilizes well-timed runs and great linking play to give her team the advantage when moving the ball down the pitch. Franks reads the game well and finds herself in positions where she can contribute to her team's success as both a goal-scorer and distributor.    Franks is 5'6 and has the speed needed to out pace quick defenders. Her height gives her a good enough frame to hold off strong defenders and use her body to turn out of pressure. Combining physical strength with outstanding shot power, King is able to place ripped shots into the corners of the net to beat the keeper and is also very accurate with crosses coming in from the wide spaces. King doesn't hesitate to shoot on the attack and has confidence when shooting from a variety of angles.   Coming in at 5'7, King has the build to immediately become a dominant presence within the final third.
