Lewis’ energy and intensity were key assets for Sting Austin in a game where they had to attack for most of the time. She was extremely active in the final third, getting on the ball very often and trying to use her pace and dribbling to beat defenders. Lewis spent time at the right win and the center forward spots and was a constant threat to Richmond’s backline with her intensity. She scored the team’s second with a difficult shot from outside the penalty box that got a little help form the wind to go in right at the upper corner.

Lewis will play a big role in Sting Austin 08’s offense when they face NC Courage, Arlington Soccer and Mustang SC this week. She’s part of a strong offense and contributes to it by adding great pace and aggressiveness on the wing. Lewis typically plays on the left, where she can keep defenders guessing with her ability to take the ball to the end line or to bring it inside to shoot. She’s very direct and really speeds up in the final third, finishing plays in a few seconds. Lewis is even more dangerous in transition, when she has more space to run, and also does an excellent job of tracking back and helping the team regain possession.

Lewis is a winger/forward for the Sting Austin 08 ECNL team. Pretty complete two-way player. Seems like Sting Austin asks her to do more defensively than a lot of the other wingers, but Lewis has that type of engine and effort. She is dynamic on the ball and usually wins the duel against the outside back. She’s been effective and efficient with chances this season. Defensively she is strong in the tackle and quick to press. There is a lot to like about Lewis’ game.
