Mills contributed offensively to her Sting Austin 08 team as they got a third-place finish in the Texas Conference, with nine wins, one loss and five ties – they will play in the Champions League playoffs. A high-energy forward, she’s a nightmare to opponents who have to deal with her never-ending movement off the ball and her ability to put pressure on them when playing defense. Despite not being very tall, Mills uses her body well to shield the ball and is excellent at making quick turns on defenders. She also times her runs off the ball very well and attacks the space in behind the backline with great intelligence, generating several opportunities.

Mills spent most of the match battling Challenge physical center backs and had great success with that. Despite being shorter, she did a very good job of getting on the end of long passes and holding the ball until a teammate approached her to combine. Mills also used her pace and great movement off the ball to make diagonal runs from the middle to the flanks, exploring the space behind the outside backs. She combined very well with right winger Brea Lewis Brea Lewis 5'5" | F Hendrickson | 2027 State #168 Nation TX and a play between them resulted in the team’s third goal, which was scored in a critical moment of the match, with Mills making a quick turn on a defender to beat her and finish from inside the six-yard box.

Mills is a center forward for Sting Austin. Strong player. Not the biggest on the field, but she plays like it. She is a fierce battler and will make life tough on the center backs. Great at being a target for her side. Can create chances with her passing. Left on an island with her club side and still makes key players regularly despite often being 1v2. Mills has a high ceiling as a No. 9.
