A central midfielder, Diaz delivered much intensity and quality to Sting’s game. She was very active defensively, showing great effort to win the ball and firmness when she got into duels and went for tackles. Diaz also did a good job of supporting the offense and had a constant presence in the attacking half. She managed to progress the ball with strong runs through the middle and was excellent with her distribution, picking the right passing options and releasing the ball at the right times.

Diaz is a box-to-box midfielder on the Lonestar GA Red 09 team. She has quick feet and a really strong tactical understanding of her role. She is a high work-rate player, but she is also very skillful. She doesn’t try to do too much and is rarely caught in possession with the ball. Diaz has all the potential to be a top center midfielder in this class.
