Girl's College Commitment Scout Grades

A lot of big names have come off the board recently. It's been really difficult to keep up with all of this! A lot of film is watched. I do my absolute best.   I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.   It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 & 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments mean nothing until a letter of intent is signed. Players & Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process. It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years. Many without even going on a visit to the school. Is this a good thing for the programs and the players? Only time will tell.   It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent verbal commitments. Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. Please keep in mind, if you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schooler do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is doing this season and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.   I also encourage players to make their highlight reel easy to access for scouts to evaluate on your social media profiles. If you have committed and have not received a grade and want one. Amazing club pedigree with TopHat and ranked in the top 40 in the competitive state of Georgia. The midfielder has been with the El Salvadorian National Team and goes to Buford where she won all league honors. The owls have really struggled on the road this season although quite good at home. Solid fit.   Scout Grade: B     Headed to the ACC in 2027 King has committed her future to Virginia Tech. After watching the PA Classics midfielder she looks really under ranked and underrated to me. She is an athletic, versatile attacking player who drives towards goal with real purpose any chance she gets. Very strong in 50-50 situations and opposition defenders seem to bounce off her leaving many of them on the ground. Great pick up for the Hokies who are in the toughest league in the country and currently sit at a respectable 4-5-2.   Scout Grade: A-     The Top 5 striker talent is staying close to home choosing the Idaho Vandals as her future squad in 2027. She is a Northwest Conference ECNL 1st All-Conference selection and has an excellent athletic profile that is built to succeed in the Big Sky. Seems like an excellent fit.   Scout Grade: B+     The Slammers HBK midfielder is headed west to Tulsa in 2027. You have to trust the recruiting of a squad that is 6-2-2 overall in a very competitive AAC and a challenging out of conference schedule. Coming from such a fantastic Slammers team Eguia shows that she can make an instant impact when she arrives.   Scout Grade: B     Reynolds is headed to division 2 school Eckerd in 2026. Headed from the Pacific Northwest to Tampa Florida will definitely be a climate adjustment but the young goalkeeper has what it takes to succeed. Few freshmen get to start right away but I think Reynolds has the ability to. May be a transfer out after a couple of season candidate.   Scout Grade: B     Headed to one of the top schools in the country Wake Forest in 2027. Knowing how well this program recruits and seeing that ranking she has it definitely looks like the Deacons have found another under the radar gem. The Orlando Pride defender is an ECNL Southwest Conference First-Team selection. Couldn't find much film on her but most signs point to a great fit.   Scout Grade: B+     The [program_tooltip program_id='283497' first='Sting' last='Austin'] standout is headed to the SEC and Auburn in 2027. The Lake Travis High School, Top 25 Texas Midfielder is going to a program whom really know how to recruit. The Tigers are 5-3-3 thus far this season with everything to play for moving forward.   Scout Grade: B+     The [program_tooltip program_id='283425' first='[program_tooltip program_id='283424' first='Pateadores' last='']' last=''] Midfielder is headed down the road to UC Irvine in 2027. The Anteaters are 4-3-4 this season with an outside chance to make the postseason. Couldn't find many highlights on her and she looks like she will need to bulk up to handle the Division 1 game.   Scout Grade: B-     Another top talent picking Georgia as their future home. The Top 10 Florida talent is going to be a problem for SEC opposition for years to come. She's a fast, physical #9 who can finish at a high clip. FC Prime have developed a top talent who has every chance to get time right away for the Dawgs. I can see her as an SEC 1st Team selection down the road.   Scout Grade: A+     Headed to Delaware University in 2027. The FC Delco Striker has been at USA Talent ID events and is ranked as a Top 30 striker in the strong soccer state of Pennsylvania. The Blue Hens have been excellent this season sitting at 7-1-3 with every possibility to make the NCAA Tournament.   Scout Grade: B
