Below is a scouting report on some of the other midfielders from our rankings.

Center midfielder for the FC Dallas 08 ECNL team. Been called into US Soccer Talent ID events in the 08 age group in the past. Could play as either a No. 6 or a No. 8. She is a ball hunter in the midfield. Always tracking the play and ready to put in a tackle. She’s a willing runner. She does well on the ball in getting it out of her feet quickly. Holder is a key player for the FC Dallas 08 group.
Preston is the attacking midfielder for the FC Dallas 09 ECNL team. I’ve been really impressed with her play and contributions to her team through the start of the ECNL season. She is a key piece for how FC Dallas wants to play. She is a relentless presser, high-activity midfielder. She is quick in decision-making with a great first touch. Her teammates are always looking to play passes into her because they have the utmost confidence in her bringing the ball under control. Improving her tacking in the open field and lower body strength to withstand physical tackles will be the key to jumping from a top player in the conference to being a top player in the country.
Griswell’s best position is probably defensive midfield, but I’ve seen her also play right center back so she is a modern player who is a jack-of-all trades. There is a path forward for her in either role. She’s a top prospect at that level for either spot. She reads the game so well and seems to always been a step ahead of everyone else. She brings that comfort and poise in possession of the ball to center back and really opens up the field for her team with her vision and passing. Griswell is a top, top player from this class.
Pinto is a versatile player on the Sting Black 09 ECNL team. She is listed as midfielder/defender on her player profile. I’ve seen her play defensive midfield and right winger. I don’t see any previous YNT Talent ID call-ups for her, but she has shown glimpses this season to suggest she should be considered at that level. Pinto is listed as a forward for our rankings but she can really play anywhere on the field. She is right footed. Very skillful on the ball. Slaloms through defenders when given space. Showed good vision in recent games and provided an assist with a wonderful slip pass. Pinto has qualities that suggest she will be an impact player for a long time.
Eckman is a center midfielder for the Sting Austin 08 ECNL team. She is excellent two-way player. Eckman has really impressed me at the start of the season with how she is managing the game for her team. Sting Austin is undefeated through the first four games and she has been a catalyst for that hot start. She’s been convincing in tackles to the point no one is willing to try her anymore. She’s been great in decision-making and excellent at getting the outside backs on her side involved in the attack. Her vision to see where her side has a numerical advantage has resulted in the start of a number of key passing sequences. Eckman is going to be a player to know from this group moving forward.
Presley is a defensive midfielder on the Solar 08 ECNL squad. Pretty sure she is the only 2027 on that team. She is a versatile player for the team and could fill in at a number of roles. She understands her role really well when she is tasked as the No. 6. She is excellent at getting the ball from out of her feet to her teammates quickly and with precision. She’s got a bit of toughness to her game too and doesn’t shy from a tackle. She’s usually the one winning the aerial duel off the opposing goalkeepers dropkick. Wilkerson doesn’t get a lot of the spotlight with Solar, but she’s a big time player at a top team in the country while playing with some of the best 2026s in the country.
Highlights
Burtnett is the defensive midfielder for Sting Dallas Royal 09 ECNL. She previously played for Solar SC. She is enjoying a terrific start to the ECNL season with her new club team. She’s wearing the captain’s armband for Sting and she’s leading by example on the field. She’s involved in every play and playing like her cleats are on fire. The midfielder has been exceptional at cutting off passes through the midfield and quickly getting the ball into her teammates feet. She’s also shown that she has the ball-striking ability to put some shots on goal from over 30 yards out. Burtnett is playing like one of the best at her position in one of the top conferences in the ECNL this season.
Highlights
Corcoran is either a No. 10 or a No. 8 for the Solar SC 09 ECNL team. She previously played for DKSC in the ECNL. She’s been called into US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She has lightning quick feet for a midfielder. She had a tackle in the preseason where she poked the ball away from the attacker and was headed the opposite direction before the opponent even realized the ball was gone. She’s an impactful player for her side with her qualities in the middle of the field – from her defensive work to her skillful dribbling. She’s an outstanding prospect from this class.
Mansour is a center midfielder on the AHFC 09 ECNL team. This is an unconfirmed grad year so her class could be updated in the future. Mansour moves like a player on the field. Calculated and dynamic, Mansour immediately stood out for her approach to the game. She is skillful and quick. She has excellent vision and comfort to play out of tight spaces with her nimble footwork. She has big-time potential.
Cox is a defensive midfielder for the Dallas Texans 09 ECNL team. She is a different type of defensive midfielder than most of the players who line up as the No. 6. She isn’t a sledgehammer in the center of the field, but more of a chisel. She is calculated in her actions and movements. Every pass into her feet comes out with a clean pass in return. She’s a bit tricky too with heel flicks and flair. Cox fits the role of defensive midfielder for her side well and has proven to be a key player in the 09 age group.
Ramirez plays as a midfielder for the Lonestar GA Red team. She is a defensive midfielder who is an exceptional talent for the position. Ramirez is a dominant force in the Girls Academy. Two of her teammates are youth national team players so she is overshadowed somewhat but she can hold her own with anyone. She has good technique on the ball and shows a willingness to hit passes to her teammates that can open up the field. She isn’t reckless with possession, but rather more willing to take a chance when the opportunity is there. She recently scored in a league game on a shot from other 20 yards out that showcased her striking technique. She also hits some free kicks for her side.
Highlights
Diaz is a box-to-box midfielder on the Lonestar GA Red 09 team. She has quick feet and a really strong tactical understanding of her role. She is a high work-rate player, but she is also very skillful. She doesn’t try to do too much and is rarely caught in possession with the ball. Diaz has all the potential to be a top center midfielder in this class.
