She’s a defensive workhorse who covers a lot of ground in the center of the field and is always ready to tackle opponents and win the ball, but also has a lot of quality when in possesion, distributing it efficiently, finding excellent passes in the final third and displaying great quality to beat opponents off the dribble.

Ramirez had a great game pulling the strings in midfield for Sting Austin in their win against a very good Charlotte Independence side. She is excellent and finding pockets of space in the offensive half getting on the half turn and progressing the ball into the final 3rd. Made a handful of dangerous penetrating dribbles to stress the Independence back line.

Ramirez helped Sting Austin end the event undefeated with two wins and one tie. I got to watch their 2-1 win over Eclipse Select on Monday and was impressed with the level of intensity she was able to display on the third day of play. Ramirez was the engine of Sting’s midfield, covering a lot of ground and appearing well on both sides of the ball. She worked really hard to win possession, appearing everywhere on the defensive half to make stops. Ramirez also showcased great quality on the ball, dribbling it efficiently and connecting good passes in the final third.

Ramirez had a superb showing for Sting Austin as they went 3-0 at the event. The midfielder showed her quality on the ball as she did well in opening her body to the field prior to receiving the ball and quickly finding teammates with accurate passes. Ramirez was the link between the stellar Sting defense and midfield and she did the job perfectly.

Ramirez plays as a midfielder for the Lonestar GA Red team. She is a defensive midfielder who is an exceptional talent for the position. Ramirez is a dominant force in the Girls Academy. Two of her teammates are youth national team players so she is overshadowed somewhat but she can hold her own with anyone. She has good technique on the ball and shows a willingness to hit passes to her teammates that can open up the field. She isn’t reckless with possession, but rather more willing to take a chance when the opportunity is there. She recently scored in a league game on a shot from other 20 yards out that showcased her striking technique. She also hits some free kicks for her side.
