Griswell is one of the standouts in the Solar SC U17 side that is set to have Concorde Fire Platinum, Michigan Hawks and Connecticut FC United as their opponents in Florida. Capable of playing in midfield or central defense, she is an elite defensive player, who, despite not being extremely physical, dominates opponents with her ability to read the game and anticipate plays. Griswell is extremely well-versed on the ball, too, standing out with quick moves to create space in the center of the field and accurate passing. She typically operates in the area between the midfield line and the penalty box, but will occasionally infiltrate into the final third to make plays.

Griswell is a central defender for Solar SC 09 in the ECNL league and plays for Joshua High School out of Dallas at the high school level. She’s an extremely intelligent defensive player, who manages to dominate opponents and control her zone with her ability to read plays and consistently be one step ahead of everyone else. She’s also a huge asset in possession with her calm on the ball and her ability to efficiently connect short and long passes. She can play in midfield too and gets to offer solid offensive contributions in that spot, finishing well from distance and making smart runs off the ball into the penalty box.

Griswell helped Solar produce a clean sheet with an excellent defensive performance, which allowed her team to dominate their opponents in their own half. She split her time between center back and defensive midfielder and performed at a very high level in both positions, being nearly flawless in protecting her team’s penalty box. Griswell was reading the game extremely well and made many interceptions, displaying great quickness to cut passing lanes and get first to the ball. She also stood out in possession, making turns to keep the ball and consistently finding teammates in good spots with her passes.

Griswell was one of Solar’s defensive pillars in the match, performing multiple roles at an excellent level for the team. She spent most of the match as a center back, forming solid partnerships with Mia Ortega Mia Ortega D Mansfield | 2027 State #240 Nation TX and Brooklynn Davis Brooklynn Davis 5'6" | D/M Legacy Christian Academy | 2028 State #60 Nation TX and using her physical tools to dominate the penalty box. Her ball distribution out of the back was another major asset for Solar as they consistently managed to build their game thanks to her passing. Griswell spent part of the second half in the holding midfielder role, where she shielded the backline efficiently, continued to pass the ball intelligently and even assisted in the team’s third goal, infiltrating into Albion’s penalty box and crossing the ball to Slater.
