A forward, Looney brings intensity and firepower to Solar’s attack. He makes an impact when used as a winger, using his pace and directness to attack defenders 1v1 and make plays out wide. He’s more dangerous when used on the left, where he can cut inside to his preferred right foot to finish chances or feed his teammates. Very good at keeping possession when dribbling upfield, Looney can also be a threat at the center forward position, timing his runs behind the backline extremely well and showing calm and confidence in front of the goal.
