During this week, we’ve released a scouting report on each position group from Texas’ 2027 ranking. Below is the scouting report on the forwards from the 2027 class.
Member of the ODP regional team. Winger. Right footed. Dynamic playmaker. Versatile player profile. She can tuck in and play as a support striker or drift wide and play on an island. She creates chances out of nothing. Good finisher and consistent contributor.
Center forward for the FC Dallas 09 ECNL team. She has some positional versatility. She wore the captain’s armband for the club team last season. She is a good back-to-the-goal forward. Uses her body well in shielding and does well with connecting passes to teammates. She’s a willing presser. One aspect of her game that stood out from game film is that her level didn’t drop even though she was not receiving much service. She continued to work and generate chances with her effort. When she did get service, she showed good skill and could take on players on the dribble. She’s been used sometimes as a super sub at the start of this season. She’s been very effective in punishing tired defenders and finding the spots to finish off chances. De Moor is one to watch.
Lewis is a winger/forward for the Sting Austin 08 ECNL team. Pretty complete two-way player. Seems like Sting Austin asks her to do more defensively than a lot of the other wingers, but Lewis has that type of engine and effort. She is dynamic on the ball and usually wins the duel against the outside back. She’s been effective and efficient with chances this season. Defensively she is strong in the tackle and quick to press. There is a lot to like about Lewis’ game.
Bradford is a winger/attacker for the Sting Dallas Black 09 ECNL team. I’ve mainly seen her play left wing. She’s a highly effective attacking talent. She plays a no nonsense game. She is trying to score or create goals for her teammates and she is going to make that happen regardless of who is standing in front of her. Bradford recently had a two-goal performance in ECNL game, which showcased her quality as a winger. She is elusive off the ball. She does well in slipping between the lines defensively. When she is on goal, she doesn’t waste touches.
Mills is a center forward for Sting Austin. Strong player. Not the biggest on the field, but she plays like it. She is a fierce battler and will make life tough on the center backs. Great at being a target for her side. Can create chances with her passing. Left on an island with her club side and still makes key players regularly despite often being 1v2. Mills has a high ceiling as a No. 9.
Corcoran is a left winger for AHFC 09. She previously played for Houston Dash. She’s been a big addition to her ECNL side this season. She’s provided goals and assists in key moments through the first two months of the season. The key part of Corcoran’s game is that she makes an impact in the final third. She knows where to be and she has finisher’s instincts when she has a chance on goal.
Highlights
Hernandez is a winger/attacking midfielder on Challenge SC 09 ECNL. She’s had an incredible year, which included earning a spot on the US Club Soccer id2 International Tour and the ECNL Conference Cup for Texas. She was impressive during the Conference Cup. She played in both the attacking midfield and winger role – a bit more on the wing. She is dynamic with the ball at her feet – quick of thought and action. Hernandez is a tough player to mark. She creates chances in the final third. She stood out against some of the best players in the country in the Conference Cup, which shows her level to be considered among the top in the nation in her position.
Gannon is a tireless worker at center forward for the Solar SC 09 ECNL team. She possess all the attributes that scouts look for from attacking players. She is a willing defender, driven to score goals, and a variety of ways to contribute in the game. She has good skill on the ball and can link up with teammates. She has good pace to get in behind the defense either off the ball with the timing of her runs or on the ball with her skill and speed dribbling. She can also slot in as an attacking midfielder too, which showcases her vision and passing. Gannon is a difference-maker for the Solar side.
