Bright new talent from the PA 2027 Rankings

The Prep Soccer Pennsylvania 2027 state rankings were released this week. The state rankings use the player's club team location - for example, the top talent from PDA will be included in the New Jersey rankings. Below are some of the new names or risers in the rankings. Check out a scouting report on these elite talents.    Trent is a midfielder on the FC Delco 09 team. She can play any role in the midfield trio. She is a clever player on the ball. Good skill, quick feet, and plays with her head up. She is excellent in the transition elements - a real bright spot on the counter for FC Delco. Trent has the athletic qualities to be an early contributor against older competition.     Kilareski is a midfielder/defender for FC Delco 09 ECNL team. Kilarski is a midfielder in her mentality. I saw her play as a right center back last season. She was solid in that role, but she seems to always want to drift forward to get more involved in the play when her team is in the attacking half. That's not a criticism on her game, as she was still excellent. She was the best defender on her team. She is smart in the timing of her tackles and does well using her strength to keep the opposition on her back and away from the ball. She does rush her clearances and can hit the ball blindly forward too often. When she does take a second on the ball, she is a good passer and shows excellent understanding of how to pass through the lines to break the pressure. Kilarski offers a ton of qualities scouts look for from defensive midfielders, but she also has the defending chops to fill is as a developing center back.     Bubnis is a midfielder for Reading Rage 09 ECNL RL. She is off to a hot start at the high school level. Bubnis is a box-to-box midfielder. She stands out for her contributions in the attack with her right foot as she is a good finisher from range and trusted to take penalty kicks for her club side. It's her defensive work that stood out from game film. She is a willing tackler in the open field. She is consistently winning duels with her knack for shielding the opposition off the ball. She does have a tendency to take an extra touch on the ball from time to time. Speeding up her decision making on the ball will really help propel her game as she begins to compete against college-ready talent.     Ott is a defender from Reading Rage 09 ECNL RL. She plays right center back for her club team. She is an outstanding 1v1 defender. She has been playing left back for her high school team. There is a reason to believe that could be her position at the college level. She is a bit hesitant to get forward, but she's a lockdown type of defender. She's moves her feet well and keeps an athletic stance when in the duel. She is good at getting her head up once she wins possession and immediately getting the ball to a teammate. Ott has been a top contributor at the club and high school level.     Hurwitz is a winger on the FC Delco 09 ECNL team. I believe she was promoted to the ECNL squad last season. The forward/midfielder is a willing runner with a long stride and a knack for winning 1v1 on the wings. Hurwitz became an impactful player in the ECNL events last season and should be on the radar for this season as she continues to grow into a bigger role on her club team.     Malley is a defender for Beadling GA and Peters Township. She's been a standout during the high school season for the top ranked team in the state. Malley is a good outside back who can shut down the top wingers in the state. She is excellent on the ball as well. Comfortable on either foot. She is active in the possession and moves to get open without the ball. Malley has the tools to be a top level defender in the state from this class.     Ferroni has the physical tools to be the best goalkeeper in this class. She is five-foot-10 and athletic. She had a good campaign in the ECNL last season. She is still developing as a goalkeeper. She is capable of making the game-deciding play. An area for improvement would be in her decision making. There are some times when it looks like she can catch a shot or cross but elects to punch away. She tends to take the safer route, which can work in the short term, but to increase her impact on the game, retaining possession for her side is a more valuable trait. Ferroni has improved with every season and will be a top target to watch this season as she brings her side into contention in the ECNL.     Troutman is one of the most driven players on this list. She is a forward with a poacher's mentality and the statistics to back it up. She just finds ways to score goals. She is good as the No. 9, but can also play on the right wing. She has a bit of unique follow-through on her shooting motion which can contribute to a different spin on the ball. It has left some goalkeepers flat footed in their efforts to stop her shot. Troutman plays for Reading Rage and the PA ODP.     Bayly was one of many bright spots of the Penn Fusion run to the ECNL National Finals in Richmond. I thought her game against San Diego Surf was excellent. She's a smart player and reads the game so well. She anticipates well, springs the attack quickly, and shows good leadership qualities. Bayly has massive potential and high upside. She is a stellar player in this class.     Haag is my favorite player to watch in this class and it's so easy to write about her strengths because there are so many. The key takeaway here is that she will be a top target in this class on a national level and her play during the ECNL playoffs over the summer showed why she should be regarded as one of the best center backs in the 2027 class. She plays with the poise and maturity of a multiyear starter at a top college program. The future is bright for this Penn Fusion standout.     Collins is a player that continues to impress with each game. She had a terrific start to her high school season. She has an unstoppable engine and covers a ton of ground. She makes impactful plays all over the field. She has the pace to get behind the defense and the ball striking technique to ping the ball over range with accuracy. The well rounded game lends well to a No. 8 for the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='163982' first='Madison' last='Gill'] is one of the standouts from the Keystone 09 GA team. She is a midfielder who has continued to impress me with every game last season. Her quick decision-making is her strength. She processes her options rapidly and provides a high number of key passes per game. She was one of the most important players at the club and high school level last season.     Chiplaskey is an outside back from Century United. She has the positional versatility with previous experience on the wing. I think her future is at right back. She has shown the ability to play on an island in 1v1 situations and shut down the opposing winger. She's comfortable with the tackle in the open field and closes space quickly. Chiplaskey's defensive instincts should catch the attention of scouts.
