The next wave: 2030’s show the future is bright

When players are two years from high school, they are just on the cusp of being players that gain attention. These players below are on that cusp and about to cross the threshold.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Isabella Aguilar, Keeper, Beach FC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Aguilar is a hard-working keeper, one who is active and reactive. You can see her flow with play when you watch her closely, which leads to her positioning herself well. She responds quickly to balls put in the area, showing bravery in coming out for them and she's becoming a very good shot stopper, showing the ability to make saves at all levels.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stella Boyd, Keeper, City SC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Boyd is showing great aggressiveness and toughness at an early age, as she will come out for a ball and sacrifice her body. She is already showing quick decision making as well. She is a good shot stopper, especially from close range, showing strong hands, quick feet and very good fast-twitch that allows her to react quickly.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McKynzie Bussick, Keeper, Placer United</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bussick takes charge when she is in between her posts. She plays the game her way, which is being aggressive in coming out for balls, by closing down the angle on attackers and doing anything she can to get the slightest touch on a ball and redirect it. She's very good when it comes to making the sprawling save, just getting a knick on the ball to keep it from going in. She makes good saves laterally, and can be counted on to do the things needed to keep the opponent off the scoreboard.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='295115' first='Presley' last='Walker'], Outside Defender, Eagles SC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Walker is an impressive athlete with excellent stop and start ability, the ability to play with the ball at her feet and to be a threat going forward. She is an outside back with speed, she can make other defenders miss and she displays great vision as well. Defensively, she will be tough and physical against her opponents as she uses her body very well. This makes her tough to beat in a 1v1 situation. She does that on both sides of the ball. She is also a hard-worker who is tenacious, playing without fear.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
