The state of Texas is the next destination of the ECNL Girls Soccer League as this coming weekend, from Saturday to Monday, the city of Dallas will host the league's second national event of 2025.

Having the Toyota Soccer Center and the MoneyGram Soccer Park as venues, the ECNL Dallas event will have as many as 210 club teams competing in five different age groups and Prep Soccer Texas will be in attendance all three days, following the action closely and bringing daily reports.

Unsurprisingly, Texas will have massive representation in the event, with as many as 54 teams getting in action - [program_tooltip program_id='278052' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'], Challenge SC, [program_tooltip program_id='278665' first='Classics' last='Elite'] SA, [program_tooltip program_id='278678' first='Dallas' last='Texans'], DKSC, FC Dallas, [program_tooltip program_id='278668' first='Lonestar' last=''] SC, Solar SC, Sting Austin, Sting Black and Sting Royal will all have teams competing.

The elite of Texas Girls Club soccer will be in Dallas and we would like to highlight some names to keep an eye on before the event begins. Today we'll look into the outside backs:

Meador plays for the Sting Royal 10 team that is ready to face Kansas City Athletics, La Roca FC and Match Fit Academy in the event. Recently invited to participate in a US Soccer Talent ID event, she's a key player for the team with her ability to play multiple positions at a very high level. Meador can be used at both outside back spots and also anywhere across the midfield. That's only possible because of her impressive intelligence and strong all-around game. Meador stands out for her solid fundamentals and her ability to perform different actions efficiently. She has great vision and accuracy with her passing and also hits the ball extremely well, being very dangerous in set pieces. She also holds her own defensively, playing hard and efficiently.

Baker is part of the Sting Austin 09 team that is scheduled to play against NCFC Youth, Rockford Raptors and Midwest United FC in Dallas. She joined the team this season, coming from Lonestar SC, and has been a big contributor to them. A very technical player, she's capable of helping the team's offense in different ways. Baker is very good at knowing when to overlap, offering a constant passing option to her teammates, but can also make a difference with her passing, be it by helping her team break pressure in the buildup or finding teammates in good spots in the final third. She uses both feet well, which allows her to play on the right or the left, and does solid defensive work, relying on her ability to read the game to make interceptions.

Colquitt will be with the Solar SC 09 team that will have Kansas City Athletics, SLSG Navy and Match Fit Academy as opponents in the event. He's an outstanding two-way left back, who gets the job done on both sides of the ball and delivers a lot to her team. A lefty, Colquitt is very skilled on the ball and can be very dangerous in the final third with her ability to beat opponents off the dribble and send accurate crosses into the penalty box. She's also an intelligent and efficient passer, who will find teammates in better spots if she feels she should move the ball. Colquitt is also very strong defensively, playing with great determination and making smart choices, that force opponents into their weak sides or drive the ball away from the penalty box.

Quinn plays left back for the Challenge SC 08 side that will be faced with La Roca FC, Eastside FC and Liverpool FC IA Michigan in Dallas. The main strengths in her game are on defense as she does a very good job of patrolling her zone and is very difficult to get by. Quinn has nice physical tools, which typically give her the edge in 1v1 battles with opposing wingers, but also has excellent instincts and impressive determination to get spots. Also capable of playing as a center back, she doesn't push forward very often, but has quality in her left foot to pass, cross and finish efficiently.

Clig and her [program_tooltip program_id='278678' first='Dallas' last='Texans'] 07 teammates will battle against East Meadow SC, GTFC Impact RL and Richmond United over the weekend. She has been with the team for a few years now and continues to be a big part of what they do with her solid work on both sides of the ball. She's very efficient and somewhat sneaky defensively as she holds her position for as long as she can in 1v1 duels until she senses an opportunity to tackle opponents and come out with the ball. Many of her defensive actions quickly turn into attacking plays as she's not afraid of exploring the space in front of her when she sees any. Clig also has good quality on the ball and can connect good passes and hit accurate crosses when in the final third.
