Girl’s California Seniors Dominating

Most top players have their future secured and it is a last chance for them to play free without the pressure that collegiate soccer brings. There have been some amazing seasons put together by these young women. Let's see if they can put the cherry on top of their senior year's with success in the postseason. She has scored an incredible 56 goals in 15 games played for her Lincoln Fighting Zebras side (best mascot I've come across by the way). With 7 assists to add to her 63 total goal contribution numbers. She is leading the entire state in scoring and is ranked 5th in the nation. She has two great feet and creates space on the dribble inside the box masterfully in creating shots. She is a classy finisher who can find the corners really well when she's close to goal. I'd say if the season ended today Ms. Osegueda would be my vote to win the California Gatorade Player of the Year. She is leading California seniors in assists with 22 and is tied for 19th among seniors with 29 goals. Her Fresno Christian side are 333rd in the state and have a 12-3 record. Herren's low center of gravity and fast first step gives her the ability to glide past defenders with the ball. She is really good at getting to the byline and putting nicely weighted crosses in to her teammates. Acosta has been her teams star this season with 44 goals and 5 assists. Can she keep up the production and carry her team to a state championship? They owe much of their success this season to Fitzpatrick who is headed to Cal State San Marcos in the fall. She has scored 33 goals and chipped in 4 assists so far this season. She's a speedy striker who loves to play on the last defender and rarely gets run down from behind. Once she's in a position to score she usually takes advantage as she is a lethal finisher. She has scored 40 goals now this season for the Ripon Indians as well as created 4 assists. Ripon are ranked 153rd in the state and sit at 16-4-1.
