Utah talent shines bright in Prep Soccer National Rankings

<p>Utah is rich with talent in the 2027 class. The group is represented well beyond Chloe Sadler and [player_tooltip player_id='137973' first='Addison' last='Feldman'], two regulars with the US Youth National Team. There is depth across the board as well. The positions of strength with this group is outside back and midfield. </p>   <p>Check out a scouting report on some of the talent from Utah in the 2027 class who appear in the Prep Soccer National Rankings. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Eddy is a midfielder on the Wasatch GA 08 team. She is also on the Syracuse High School. She was named to the Utah All-State 6A Second Team following her sophomore campaign. She was also recently named to the Girls Academy Mountain West Talent ID. She's previously been named to the Best XI at the US Youth Soccer Nationals. </p>   <p>Eddy is a box-to-box midfielder who does the overlooked aspects of the game really well. She is excellent at checking her shoulders before receiving the ball and then taking the first touch away from pressure. She moves off the ball to open up passing angles for her teammates. The scouting efforts for the La Roca goalkeeper have been ongoing since her play in November at the ECNL event in Arizona. She's only gotten better and emerged as a top player in her position at the national level. Atkinson was named First Team 5A All-State for her play at the high school level this season with six shutouts on the campaign as a sophomore. During ECNL games, she has made a number of game-deciding saves including a gorgeous block on a penalty kick from a recent game. Atkinson has the all the potential to be one of the best from Utah in this class. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Bradley is an outside back on the Utah Celtic 08 GA team. She was also part of the Utah 5A Champions, Olympus High School. Her play at the school level earned her a spot on the All-State team. </p>   <p>Bradley is a player with a lot of potential. She can play either right or left back. She is right-footed, but she's very good with her left that you have a hard time deciding on which one is her dominant foot at times. She is a two-way player, an outstanding 1v1 defender who shuts down wingers with her physical play and pace. She gets forward and can hit a great cross. She isn't only reliant on her pace though. She hits passes into key areas at the right times too. She's already on the radar for professional teams too. She was invited to play with the Utah Royals, the NWSL team, in a scrimmage against BYU this year. </p>   <p>She is listed as a defender/forward (positions No. 2, 3, 7, or 11). She is five-foot-nine with elite athleticism. The club game, frankly, looks too easy for her. She showed that older competition is no issue either at the high school level this season. She scored 17 goals for Wasatch while earning All-State honors. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">She has the ambitions to play for the US Women's National Team in the future, and the potential is there. The path won't be easy, but the determination is definitely present. Karl should have her pick of schools. She is also part of the US Women's Youth National Team. She was All-State 6A Second Team for her play with Copper Hills. </p>   <p>She is listed as a forward on the US Youth National Team roster. She is an elite finisher so the positional classification makes sense. However, I view her more of an attacking midfielder for the long-term in the game. There is an element to her game that reminds me a lot of Diego Luna as a youth player. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Palafox strikes the ball better than pretty much any player in this class. She is often the target of multiple players at the club level, but still finds ways to impact the game. She was part of the Girls Academy Generation adidas All-Star team. She is also a star on the Wasatch High School Varsity team. She was named to the Utah 5A All-State First-Team. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Peterson is a right back with elite speed. She can also play left back as she showed during the Generation Adidas event earlier this year. She is a strong 1v1 defender. She uses her body well and has great recovery speed. She makes quick decisions on the ball and plays clean passes to her teammates. She was also a key player on the state champion Olympus High School team. She earned 5A First Team All-State honors for her play as a defensive midfielder for that team. She played for Wasatch GA last season and was named to the Girls Academy Mountain West Talent ID in 2024. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Cavazos was also selected to participate in the ECNL National Selection Game for the event in Arizona in the Spring. She is the type of player who doesn't appear in a ton of highlights, but the game film show her brilliance. A hard-working midfielder with the aptitude to outsmart the opposition. There is a reason she has been selected as one of the best players on every team she has played on in the last two seasons.
