College Commitments Scout Grades

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2027's are flying off the board to different schools. It's a very interesting time in Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years. Is this a good thing for the programs and the players? Only time will tell. It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you have committed to play at a Division 1 soccer program you are a great soccer player. I think this is a great fit overall. Van Der Weide is one of the top attacking talents in the 2027 class. She's a regular USYNT participant and VDA standout. She is an incredible direct dribbler who has a real nose for goal. I love this move on all fronts. Legendary Head Coach Neil Mcguire is quietly putting together one of the best recruiting classes for 2026 and 2027. A program trending in the right direction and this commitment is a great example of that. This move shows the young Goalkeeper's intent to play on day 1 of stepping on campus and I think she will. She currently plays for the excellent KC Athletic 09 team whom was an ECNL National Finalist earlier this year. She is an Indonesian International and has a massive following on social media. Another VDA player committing to a top program. Parker has excellent recovery speed and has the physical profile to be super successful in the college game and beyond. I think her positioning gets her into trouble at times but she has plenty of time to work on that before she steps on campus.
