Girl’s College Commitments Scout Grades 2025

Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments mean nothing until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process. It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years. Many without even going on a visit to the school. Is this good thing for the programs and the players? Only time will tell.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent verbal commitments. Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. Please keep in mind, if you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schooler do what you have the opportunity to do. Baylor has done a great job this season and are currently on a 4 game winning streak and remaining undefeated thus far at 4-0-2. They have tied their win total from last season currently sitting at 2-1 so things seem to be looking up. Cottrell is fantastic dribbler, incredibly shifty and can create chances for herself/teammates. She will need to get stronger and embrace contact a little more to truly excel at the next level. She is a Lou Fusz standout who is a Girls Academy National Champion. She has really sharp feet when on the ball and a good burst of speed to separate from her opposition. The Bulldogs have had a solid season so far sitting at 3-3-2. Tarkka has NWSL talent. She is dominant in the air and extremely fast which is a deadly combination at the 9 position. Mix in the fact she's an excellent finisher if she gets service she will score goals.
