Girl’s College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 34

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We continue our series after a brief break. It's been really difficult to keep up with all of this, a lot of film is watched. I do my absolute best.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments mean nothing until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years. Many without even going on a visit to the school. Is this a good thing for the programs and the players? Only time will tell.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is doing this season and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reel easy to access for scouts to evaluate as possible on your social media profiles. A rare Division 1 commit who doesn't play in ECNL or Girl's Academy. She is a USYS National Champion as well as a State Champion in High School. She is an outside player who can play as a winger or outside back. She is a dominant player at the level she has played at. But it will be a big jump up when she arrives at Butler but she has all the tools to be successful. She has good pace and is a solid finisher. The Challenge ECNL product is a top 100 Texas talent that turns a lot of heads for a player that doesn't play for one of the major more established Texas clubs like Solar or [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas']. I think a position change might be in the cards when she arrives on campus. Knox can also play CDM and is a strong physical force out there. She has excellent timing on her tackles and is very patient/calculated on the ball in possession. Couldn't find any film on her, I don't know much about the club or find any accolades she has accomplished so rather blind when it comes to giving a grade. The Bobcats are 4-5-1 so far this season. I found a couple of highlights on her and noticed she has a great left foot. Silver is a multi-sport athlete out of Greenbrier High School as she plays basketball and flag football. She is a great dribbler and possesses some really sharp feet in tight spaces. Very good burst of speed and strong finisher.
