Girl’s College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 37

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We continue our series after a brief break. Congratulations to all who have made their commitments. Now it's time for a scout grade some will be happy others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong. I hope you do!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments mean nothing until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years. Many without even going on a visit to the school. Is this a good thing for the programs and the players? Only time will tell.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is doing this season and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reel easy to access for scouts to evaluate as possible on your social media profiles. She's a Royals FC Arizona Goalkeeper. On the shorter side but has excellent technique and positioning. She is a top 50 talent out of Florida and her film really impressed me. Very two footed, can play in midfield as well as up front, great crosser of the ball, on the taller side, excellent feet to create space, and can hit the ball with real venom. She is a central midfielder who finds passing lanes and gaps in defenses very astutely. Her ability to keep the ball flowing offensively should give the Broncos complete trust in her ability to manage a game from the middle of the park. The Albion product is a true 10 who finds pockets of space very well and excellent on the half turn. The Cardinals are .500 this season and would need to win the Southland Conference Tournament to qualify for the postseason. Headed to the University of Arizona in 2027. The South Carolina United talent is going to a program who always seems to hover around .500. She seems to have full trust in her technical ability rarely taking a bad touch. The Bulldogs are doing well this season at 6-3-4. They are looking like early favorites to win The Missouri Valley Conference and qualify for the NCAA Tournament. The Hilltoppers in my eyes are some of if not the best recruiters in the country. They do a lot with a little and always seem to find Power 4 talents who have been passed on for whatever reason. I think Brown fits that mold, she is an outside player who can get up and down the flank with and without the ball.
