Girl’s College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 38

Now it's time for a scout grade some will be happy others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments are not official until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is performing and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reels easy to access for scouts to evaluate on their social media platforms. The University of North Carolina historically is the best program in the country and they just got the biggest prize in this class in DiMaria. I haven't had the pleasure of watching her play live yet but her film speaks for itself. She is a special, special talent who has the potential to be a 100 cap full national team player in the future. Average height and technically sound. If she was able to explode a little more through her legs she would be able to get to a few more balls that she will be seeing more of at the next level. The Slammer HBK talent is very tidy on the ball rarely getting caught in possession. She also has excellent recovery speed and wins a ton of her defensive duels. The Rainbow Warriors have the most ties I have seen any team have this season at 2-5-7. I couldn't find a soccer highlight reel but I watched her flag football highlights and she looks like a fantastic athlete. Reyna's talent is undeniable I can not stress that enough, she has NWSL potential. However, she will be competing for time with older more established players. I think playing time will be hard to come by in her first season. But her development as a player will really flourish if she is doing everything she needs to do in training. The professional game may be calling before her time eligibility is up. She has committed her future to Monmouth in 2027. Welti comes off her line really well, has great hands as she catches things most goalies would parry, excellent shot stopper and good height for a division 1 goalkeeper. She has great club pedigree playing for a strong SC Del Sol side and that's all I could really find on her. NAU is having a solid season sitting just above .500 at 4-3-5. Moritz is a pace player who has an amazing first couple of steps. She is a very serious skier as well and you can really tell from her low center of gravity when she plays.
