Girls College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 42

Some will be happy, others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments are not official until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is performing and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reels easy to access for scouts to evaluate on their social media platforms. Doing all these grades it is very apparent to me that there is a ton of talent in Canada. Austin is a tall, powerful Defender who has an excellent left foot thriving at LCB and LB. There is no doubt she can play at the division 1 level. Headed to the Fighting Illini Stratton has excellent club and high school pedigree in Wasatch and Lone Peak respectively. Couldn't find much film on her however the University of Illinois program is flying this season at 12-2-1 and has every chance to qualify for the NCAA Tournament and maybe even make a deep run. The SUSA product is a New York State Champion in High School with Saint Anthony. She is headed to a program who has had a fair amount of success this season sitting at 6-4-4. The Boilermakers have been amazing in recruiting this season picking up some big time names. She shows excellent potential as a top 50 ranked player in what is the second best soccer state in the country. The Roadrunners have good good this season sitting at 7-2-5 with an outside chance of making the NCAA Tournament. Rollins is having a decent season at 5-4-3. She is a high school state champion and has great club pedigree playing for an excellent Beadling Girl's Academy side who will compete for a national championship this year. The Orange had a great start to the season as most ACC sides do but has had a tough go of it in league although just picking up their first league win against Miami last week. The [program_tooltip program_id='283312' first='Davis' last='Legacy'] defensive midfielder makes excellent penetrating balls in behind the defense with lovely feel for her teammate's speed. She will need to improve her first step in order to really thrive at the division level. If she does that a special player is in there as she is so good in possession able to connect and switch play at a high level.
