The ECNL 2025-2026 club season is only just over a month old, but there have already been some shocking results in the ECNL Southwest 2010 age group. There are new leaders emerging and surprising teams falling. Cezar is a midfielder on the LV Heat Surf 2010 ECNL team. She has been one of the top players in the ECNL Southwest at the start of the season. She's played at a level that deserves attention from National scouts. Cezar is a quick midfielder who covers a ton of ground in the game. She is left footed and skillful. She is a good finisher for her position. She's scored a few goals from outside of the box in situations when she was one v a handful of defenders. She has a knack for getting off a shot quickly and accurately. Cezar's impact is obvious through the first few games of the season and she is performing at an All-ECNL level consistently.      Sullivan is a midfielder on the Slammers HB Koge 2010 ECNL team. Slammers is off to a hot start on the season with three wins and a draw. The squad scored 16 goals in the last three games. They are beating teams with authority to kick off the campaign. Sullivan operates as one of the center midfielders who pulls the strings. She is quick on the ball and plays with a purpose. She never overruns the play, she sits in the right pockets and gives outlet options to her teammates. Sullivan is one of those unsung heroes of the stellar Slammers Koge team and deserves the spotlight for her recent play.      Daenzer is a midfielder on the Eagles 2010 ECNL team. She is a new addition to the team this season, and has already made an impact on the team. She's a firecracker of a defensive midfielder. She takes joy in making the opposition struggle to complete any passes. She's quick in the transition moments of the game to find outlets. The Eagles playing style fits her game perfectly. She should be a top new player in the ECNL Southwest this season.      [player_tooltip player_id='266731' first='Neliah' last='Cardenas'] is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283389' first='LA' last='Breakers'] 2010 ECNL team. She previously played for Beach FC. She was named to the ECNL Southwest Second Team All-Conference last season for her play with her previous club. She's been even better with Breakers. She is commanding the midfield with her confident play. She is dictating the pace of the game. And she is creating chances with her passing and service. Cardenas was brilliant in the opening win over Sporting CA and continues to prove her quality as a top midfielder weekly.        Carter is a midfielder on the San Diego Surf 2010 ECNL team. She had a standout summer, which included being named to the ECNL All-American team and an individual award at the Nike Premier Cup in July.    She's kept up that confident play in the ECNL league games to start the season. The defensive midfielder is playing with her head up and pinging passes all over the field. She is clean on the ball with a good first touch. She is a perfect fit with the Surf style of play as she gets the ball moving with limited touches. She's also played center back at times this season. She's looked exceptional in that role as well. Carter has a promising future in that role.    Carter has the accomplishments and game film to be considered among the best in the nation in her position.     Klimpel is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283476' first='Slammers' last='FC'] 2010 ECNL team. She has been outstanding at the start of the ECNL season. She's quick, aggressive, and fearless. Klimpel immediately stands out from the ECNL level for her decisiveness defensively. She will put in a slide tackle in the middle of the field when she sees the opportunity. The commitment from her is unmatched. She plays as a wide midfielder in a 4-4-2, but there is a reason to believe she could play anywhere in the midfield. Klimpel's enthusiasm and determination have been key to the Slammers' midfield in three close results at the start of the season. For scouts looking at hard-working, overlooked midfielders, Klimpel should be top of the list. She is going to be a fighter for playing time from the first moment she steps on campus - and she has shown she can compete against the top talent in the country at the ECNL level.
