Preview of High School Impact Players C/O 2028 – Arizona – Part 1

She can make clean tackles and make counterattacks from the backline. I've previously evaluated her at the 2025 National playoffs and she did not disappoint. They took on and defeated the top 3 ranked team in the bracket. Maryn is ranked #1 in AZ and #1 in Position and #155 in the Nation as a defender. She was also great at making transitional runs to boost the offense. Maryn was called to the U15 USYNT earlier in October for Camp in Portland, OR. She also contributed to the Casteel Colts by scoring 9 goals and adding 3 assists last year. She continues to make a name for herself and it's just a matter of time before USYNT scouts start calling. She also contributed to the Highland Hawks overall record of 17-5 last year. As a freshman starter, she scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists. It will be awesome to see what she can accomplish in her sophomore campaign. She can turn on the after burners and get by defenders. Her quick decisions and ability to read the defense gets her into open pockets, which allows her to make quality runs at goal. At the ECNL playoffs last season she showed her athleticism as the made an almost perfect summersault after scoring a goal. She also contributed to Desert Vista's 19-6-1 record last year. Piper also was a freshman starter who scored 21 goals and provided 5 assists. She is ranked #5 in Arizona and #2 in position (Midfield). Her large frame gives her advantages when going up for headers. Along with good ball control and and long strides in the open field, she is force to be reckon with. Her versatility on playing on both wings can also confuse players and give her the advantage when making runs into the 18. She also contributed to the Casteel Colts by scoring 19 goals and adding 7 assists last year. Tatum is known for her speed, physical presence, tactical awareness, and the ability to finish at various ranges. She also has the technical skills to make quick one-two passes and find open lanes when in the attacking third. Tatum is ranked #6 in Arizona and #3 in position (forward).
