South Piedmont NC Conference Best Performers: Part 2

The second article in the South Piedmont series presents us with four players playing for the [program_tooltip program_id='283284' first='Charlotte' last='SA']. While they all play different roles, it's evident as to why they all play for such a talented academy. South Piedmont continues to prove to be a hotbed for talented players, especially the closer we get to Charlotte.    Olufemi, who also goes by Femi, is a very talented, polyfunctional player who can play as a false 9, left winger, and left-back. The left-footed prospect causes constant trouble for the opposition's defense. He's fast and provides width, which allows him to create spaces where he will thrive. When he's out wide, he either sends in passes that lead to great opportunities or he'll cut in. Here, he shows how devastating he can be inside the box. His finishing is superb and calm, giving him the upper hand against the goalkeeper. Regardless of the context of the play, he'll keep his cool in front of goal to benefit his team. If a shot doesn't make much sense to take, he'll play perfect passes. He splits defenses on and off the ball, and through shots and passes.     Tatenda primarily plays as a winger, but his talent allows him to play anywhere on the pitch. His abilities suit a modern right-back/wing-back, but he still causes damage in the final third. Physical and fast, he makes it unbelievably difficult to take the ball off of him. He exploits open spaces with ease and shields the ball wonderfully when he needs to. If he finds himself in tighter spaces where he can't use his speed, he'll dazzle with his dribbling. Simple and effective while still being fun to watch, he gets rid of defenders as if they aren't even there. He'll open up defenses where most players would just think to pass backwards. When he's out wide, he shows how effective he can be with his passes. Low and powerful, he loves to find someone, teammate or not, who will get the ball on target.     Cesar is a left-winger, who can also play as a striker, with sky-high potential. One of his most notable attributes is his pace, leaving players behind him without breaking a sweat. On the ball, he's brilliantly skillful, embarrassing the opposition for fun. He's a natural-born dribbler, getting rid of his markers as if he were pushing them away without touching them. He also has a knack for dribbling around the goalkeeper just to have the cleanest look on goal possible. His determination makes him an extremely aggressive attacker, taking the ball to the defenders with absolutely no fear. When he needs to, whether it's for passes or finishing, he'll showcase his quick reactions in the final third. It's here where he's the most devastating, carrying all his confidence into creating goals.     Jaxon is a very talented central midfielder who has fantastic potential. He's fast on the ball, allowing him to clear spaces without having to do much. He also loves to keep the ball close to his feet, guarding it while he moves forward. If he finds himself in a tight situation, his agility comes in handy to open it up. When his team is building up, he plays quick passes that force the opposition to correct themselves while his team attacks quickly. If his team recovers the ball deep, he acts as a progressive carrier who makes his team move up the pitch fast.
