Girls Cali High School Check-In: Juniors Edition

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Junior year can be a challenging one. With many ECNL and Girl's Academy players no longer seeing as much value in playing high school soccer. Many unfortunately do not. In some cases I don't blame them. However, when I talk to most players about their previous experiences a general consensus emerges. High School soccer is the most fun they have had in the game. I am one of them. I don't think prioritizing fun for 3 months out of soccer's 12 month calendar can be that bad for a player's development. Maybe some would disagree but just my two cents. Scoring 8 Goals and adding 4 assists. Los Gatos are 5-1-2 and they play one of if not the hardest schedule in California every year. The Cal commit now has 36 goals and 18 assists in 39 games played in her High School career. That's what Carlos has done so far this season which is leading all juniors in the state. Zuniga has 12 goals and 12 assists in 13 games played. You would have to assume many of her assists have come feeding Carlos. An amazing output from the Junior Midfielder and Striker combination.
