Chavez was the youngest player on the Mexico U17 Women's National Team for the recent Concacaf Championship. She is clearly a building block piece for the future of that program. She's been outstanding the Mustang 2010 ECNL squad this year as well. She's a defender/midfielder at the club level (listed as a defender on the Mexico roster). I think her highest ceiling is at center back, but her quality on the ball suggests some possibility as a defensive midfielder as well. She's an athletic player who can cover any type of player. She's a savvy defender who knows how to frustrate the opposition. Chavez has emerged as one of the elite talents in the state in this class.

Carvajal is an attacking midfielder on the uber talented MVLA 2010 ECNL team. She made headlines in December as the youngest player on the NWSL Youth Combine Roster. She's been called in other NWSL club Talent ID events as well since then including Gotham FC's one in January. She's a silky smooth midfielder who can make magic happen with the ball at her feet. She was a ECNL Northern California All-Conference First Team selection last season and has been even better this year.

Garcia Del Castillo is a unique talent who has been rapidly rising up the boards with scouts this season. She was impressive during the Girls Academy showcase at the end of 2025. She's continued to show her dominance at the club level since then. She earned a spot on the Girls Academy All-Star team for the GA event. She's a dynamic forward with unreal skill, unrelenting effort, and a nose for the goal. She's an efficient scorer who generates chances out of nothing regularly. Her ability to score against the best defenses in the Girls Academy are a clear indicator that she will have success at the next level and beyond.

Villegas is not a new name to our rankings, but rather a new addition to the 2029 rankings after being part of the 2028 rankings (incorrectly in the past). Villegas made quite the splash in the high school game during her debut season. She is playing up with her club's 09 team during the season. I believe she is the only 2029 playing in the 09 age group consistently. She was a standout during the event in Phoenix recently while playing against players two classes older than her. Villegas can play any spot in the midfield - she is a goal-scoring threat from distance. She's been utilized as a defensive midfielder for Bay Area Surf. She has an excellent understanding of spacing and creating windows for her teammates to open up the game. She's got a good first touch and does well with her decision-making on the ball. She uses her body well in the duel and can cleanly win possession. She's a top level talent in the Northern California from this class.
