The home team got its first goal in the match in the 30th minute of the second half, when forward David Romero Jr. won the ball on the side of the penalty box, brought it inside and beat [program_tooltip program_id='279930' first='Inter' last='Miami']'s goalkeeper with a low driven shot. Romero made another critical play in the 44th minute, when he sprinted in transition and forced [program_tooltip program_id='279930' first='Inter' last='Miami']'s midfielder Matteo de Paula to foul him in the open field, getting a red card for it.

A man up, Austin dominated the second half and got another goal in the 11th minute, when midfielder Damion Perez hit the post with a long-distance shot, forward Aiden Hale picked up the rebound and crossed to fellow forward [player_tooltip player_id='288405' first='Jacob' last='Peale'], who tapped it in. Five minutes later, Romero took a corner kick on the left, and defender [player_tooltip player_id='90389' first='Sebastian' last='Seiterle'] capitalized on a strong header. Romero registered another assist in the 30th minute, passing the ball to midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='148169' first='Christian' last='Ayala'], who hit a perfect, first-time shot into the upper corner. Miami got their only goal in the match in the 42nd minute, after forward [player_tooltip player_id='160052' first='Zidane' last='Cadet'] made a good play down the left and brought the ball inside before firing a low driven shot that went in right next to the post.

A new addition to [program_tooltip program_id='283612' first='Austin' last='FC'] this season, Romero had a major impact in their dominant performance, contributing a goal and two assists. Playing as an inverted winger on the right, the left-footed forward was very strong in 1v1 duels and consistently found space to make plays out wide, especially after his team was up a player. Romero did very well in pressing a Miami defender to win the ball in a dangerous spot right before scoring the first goal. He consistently provided great service in set pieces and also thrived when he came inside from the right to operate more centrally, showing excellent vision to deliver final passes.

Seiterle was excellent in central defense alongside Vona Dievbere and managed to help Austin keep a clean sheet while he was on the field. He played on the left side of central defense and stood out for his ability to intercept passes, win duels and dispossess opponents. Seiterle was very dominant in the air in both boxes and scored Austin's third goal with a powerful header after doing a good job of getting separation from his marker. He was the most active in the team's buildup among the center backs and was very dependable with his distribution.

Zuniga delivered a strong two-way performance in the center of the field that helped Austin dominate a critical zone of the game. He showed great quality on the ball, helping set up good offensive plays with his ability to make runs and deliver passes in the attacking half. The midfielder was very good at creating space in crowded areas with quick moves and showed excellent vision to move the ball into dangerous spots. Zuniga was also very determined and active defensively, showing good energy to fight for the ball and performing strong defensive actions, including a couple of timely sliding tackles.

Peale led the line for Austin and contributed to their victory with a goal and a lot of intensity up top. The forward's non-stop movement gave his team a constant option in the attack, and he managed to get involved in most of their offensive plays. Peale made some runs behind the backline and also did well when he had to chase long balls, being the first to get to them on many occasions. He made a great run to the near post to deflect Hale's cross and score the team's second goal and had a couple of other good chances to score. Peale also showed great defensive effort, sparing no energy when pressing defenders.

Moreno had a very consistent performance for Austin, contributing to the team's backline's strong effort. He started the match at right back and then moved to the left, keeping his level of play steady on either side. Moreno was flawless defensively, using his size to dominate opponents and holding his own in 1v1 duels by making plays to win the ball at the right time. He pushed forward more often in the second half and showed good quality to support the offense with his intelligent passing. The outside back had a great chance to score after a corner kick, but saw [program_tooltip program_id='279930' first='Inter' last='Miami']'s goalkeeper stop his shot with a kick save.

Padilla was [program_tooltip program_id='279930' first='Inter' last='Miami']'s most consistent and efficient player in the match. Playing as a box-to-box midfielder, he did good work on the ball, helping his team break Austin's press by moving into great spots to receive passes and distributing the ball intelligently. In the second half, with his team down a player, he moved to defensive midfielder and constantly slid between the center backs to initiate the team's buildup, which he did with great efficiency. Padilla also helped create plays when he stepped into the attacking half with smart first-time passes.

Cadet came in for the second half and managed to improve Miami's offense despite the team being down a player. He was used on the left wing and created some problems for Austin's defenders with his ability on the ball. Cadet created good chances for himself, but had a couple of shots blocked before scoring the team's only goal in a play in which he brought the ball inside from the left, dribbling a pair of defenders before firing a well-placed, low driven shot into the back of the net.
