Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Peale led the line for Austin and contributed to their victory with a goal and a lot of intensity up top. The forward’s non-stop movement gave his team a constant option in the attack, and he managed to get involved in most of their offensive plays. Peale made some runs behind the backline and also did well when he had to chase long balls, being the first to get to them on many occasions. He made a great run to the near post to deflect Hale’s cross and score the team’s second goal and had a couple of other good chances to score. Peale also showed great defensive effort, sparing no energy when pressing defenders.

Peale had a key role in Austin’s victory, getting involved in both his team’s goals and offering a solid presence for them up top. He was excellent in the play of the first goal, pacing his run to remain onside and attacking the ball at the right time to deflect the cross with a left-footed shot. Peale showed great energy to fight with Dallas’ defenders up top, getting on the end of long balls and making runs behind the backline. Peale also did well when dropping back to get involved in his team’s playmaking, connecting good passes and making strong runs through the middle. The forward worked hard off the ball, too, pressing opposing defenders and doing well when he dropped to help his team defend set pieces.

The forward was Austin’s most active and dangerous attacking player in the match, using his movement off the ball to keep the Dynamo backline under pressure. Peale started the match at the center forward role and was insistent with his runs behind the backline and out wide, always making himself available for his teammates. He dropped to midfield during the second half and displayed good ability to drive the ball forward and to find teammates in the final third with his intelligent passing. Peale also did a good job of keeping his intensity level high during the entire match, regardless of the position he was playing.

A relatively new addition to Austin FC , coming from Virginia, Peale strengthened the team’s offense with his all-around game and his ability to play different roles up top. He was on fire during the GA Cup, in April, scoring three goals and earning a Best XI selection. Peale knows his way inside the penalty box and is physical enough to win aerial duels, while also making excellent runs to the near or the far posts to get on the end of crosses. An excellent finisher, he works well with his back to the goal, making solid holdup play, but also has good pace and strong dribbling skills, being capable of playing on the wing as well.
