Five Forwards to Know From the Updated Texas 2028 Girls Rankings

<p>After some months, the Prep Soccer 2028 Texas Girls State Ranking was updated earlier this week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted.</p>   <p>The ranking will continue to be consistently updated so it accurately reflects the progress achieved by players over time and presents a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always having in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at the next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/girls/2028-rankings/">Texas 2028 Girls State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The updated Texas 2028 Girls State Rankings now feature 155 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list.</p>   <p>These forwards have incredible potential:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Carr is the top-ranked prospect in our updated Rankings. She's part of [program_tooltip program_id='283497' first='Sting' last='Austin'] G09 in the ECNL League and represents Lake Travis at the high school level. An English youth international, she has plenty of experience at the highest level and makes the most of it to dominate games in the Lone Star State. She's a ruthless scorer who knows her way inside the penalty box and can put the ball into the back of the net with either foot or her head, but her game goes well beyond that. Carr also stands out when she gets involved in the team's playmaking, either by dropping deeper to connect passes or drifting wide to make runs and beat defenders. She captains [program_tooltip program_id='283243' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'] G10 in the ECNL League and attends Katy Taylor High School, where she competes in track and field. Barrow's excellent physical tools and her high energy are trademarks of her game as she covers a lot of ground both offensively and defensively. She can play out wide or more centrally and has a great deal of quality to make plays, benefiting from her excellent movement to get the ball in open spots and take it forward by combining with her teammates or beating opponents with her pace and dribbling. Currently recovering from a knee injury, she's part of Sting Royal G10 in the ECNL League and plays high school soccer for Byron Nelson. A winger, Geyer is very quick and has excellent ball control, a combination that allows her to consistently beat opponents out wide and make plays. She's very direct, aggressive on the ball, and typically concludes her actions with accurate crosses that find teammates in good spots inside the box. She leads the line for Solar SC G10 in the ECNL League and competes for Rock Hill at the high school level. With an interesting physical profile and excellent technical skills, she offers plenty of possibilities for her team up top, being able to adapt to different roles in the attack. She's the starting striker for [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'] G10 in the ECNL League and is part of The Woodlands Christian High School varsity soccer team. Cleveland is a dynamic and skilled forward who stands out for her excellent movement off the ball, which consistently puts her in good spots to impact the game both inside and outside the penalty box. She works well with her back to the goal and is a lethal finisher from short range, but also has what it takes to make things happen away from the box, producing well in space and showing excellent decision-making with her distribution.</p>
