Barrow was involved in arguably Albion’s two best goalscoring opportunities in the match – she made a good run behind the backline in the first half, but saw her shot stop on Sting’s goalkeeper, and got into a great spot to score in one of the last plays of the match, but was tackled by a defender. As usual, she was very active in the attacking half, moving a lot and getting on the ball very often. Her high work rate also appeared on the defensive side of the game, as she was very engaged in pressing opposing defenders and consistently dropped back to help her team fight for possession.

Barrow plays forward for Albion Hurricanes FC 10 in the ECNL League and appears in high school for Katy Taylor, out of the Houston area. An extremely skilled and dynamic player, she can be used anywhere from midfield up (although I’ve seen her play center back very well already) and will always have a major role in her team’s offense. Barrow, who’s also a track and field student-athlete, can run for days and plays the game with tremendous intensity on both sides of the ball. She brings a a lot to the table offensively, being capable of creating and finishing chances at a high rate, while also thriving playing more centrally or out wide.

Barrow was obviously huge for Albion as she scored their game-winning goal, but she was important for the Houston side in many other ways. The forward was very active offensively, circulating well in the final third and helping the team create chances with her intelligent passing and her ability to dribble the ball. Barrow did an excellent job in the play in which she scored, moving smartly inside the box to get separation from

Forward. Center. Striker. Barrow is the captain of the AHFC 2010 ECNL team. She is right footed. She takes some corner kicks for her team. She’s a high activity player. AHFC played her in a central role during the playoffs, but it looks like US Soccer used her on the wing during Talent ID events last fall. Her ability to track back and win the ball is a real asset. She’s a focal point for her team as the play runs through her in the attack, but she works hard to get those touches too. Barrow has tremendous upside. She is very good at throwing her body in front of defenders on crosses and playing with her back to the goal. The AHFC standout is a top forward in the country in this class.
