Asekomhe is one of the main players in the Albion Hurricanes FC G10 team that will face Broomfield SC G10 and West Side Alliance G10 in the showcase. Combining incredible athleticism and excellent technique, she’s a handful for opposing defenders. Because of her pace, Asekomhe is a real threat in space, but opponents who choose to defend her tightly are always at risk of being beaten in tight spaces. A lefty, she has tremendous quality on the ball, is very direct with her runs and has great precision in her shots.

Asekomhe decided the match for Albion with a pair of goals, but her strong performance went well beyond that. The focal point of her team’s offense, she was a constant threat to Challenge’s backline with her quality on the ball in the final third. Asekomhe diversified a lot with how she attacked Challenge’s backline, and was very good when working with her back to the goal, either making turns on defenders or playing quick passes back to the midfielders. She also drifted wide and dropped back on some occasions to get on the ball and stood out with her decision-making. The forward got a little bit lucky to have the ball that decided the match coming right into her feet, but didn’t waste the opportunity, firing a confident shot to score in the last play.

Asekomhe was very active up top for Albion and was involved in most of the team’s attacking plays. She was closely defended by Sting, but continued to move as she tried to get into good spots to get on the ball and make plays. Asekomhe was very dangerous when she managed to find space to face defenders in 1v1 duels in wider areas of the field, and also worked well with her back to the goal, combining well with the players around her. The forward also demonstrated excellent vision on the final third, connecting a pair of excellent passes into the box that her teammates couldn’t capitalize on.

The dynamic forward didn’t get as much service as on other occasions, but was still a constant threat to SA City SC’s backline while she was on the field. Asekomhe moved a lot in the final third, and even when tracked closely by defenders, still managed to use her pace and dribbling ability to make plays out wide. The forward also worked well with her back to the goal and was very intelligent when combining with her teammates, connecting good passes and immediately moving to attack the space. Asekomhe converted the only good chance she had with a well-placed shot and scored Albion’s lone goal in the match.

There’s a strong argument to make that AHFC 2010 was the best team in San Diego that didn’t advance to Richmond. They were in the battle with two of the top teams in this age group (Solar and MVLA) and came away with a draw from one game and a one-goal loss in the other.
Asekomhe was impactful in every game. She scored a great goal against MVLA with a tight turn and finish with her left foot. She’s a talented dribbler and routinely creates chances for her side.

Asekomhe was very active offensively for Albion and was constantly involved in their actions in the attacking half. For most of the time, she was their most advanced player, and she did a good job of working with her back to the goal, combining with her teammates, but also explored her pace and dribbling ability to create chances on the wings. Asekomhe was excellent in the play that resulted in the team’s goal, getting the ball from a throw-in, creating space even defended by two opponents, and sending a perfect cross to Barrow. For most of the second half, she was the only Albion player not to drop back and was very important by getting to the end of long passes and keeping the ball in the final third, relieving the pressure on her team’s backline for brief moments.

Seven Lakes’ freshman forward started the match on fire, easily beating defenders off the dribble, and was directly involved in the team’s two goals. Asekomhe made a great run on the left that ended in Marchitello’s goal and drew the free kick that Holland converted to give her team a 2-0 lead. She slowed down a little bit after Jordan adjusted their defense on her, but continued to be dangerous, especially in the second half, with the Warriors pushing forward and allowing her the space she needed to make runs. Asekomhe spent time at both wings and also at center forward and consistently made good decisions in the final third, having success in solo runs and also combining well with her teammates.

The freshman was Seven Lakes’ most dangerous attacker and never stopped trying to make things happen up top. She spent some time on the wings and then some at center forward and made some dangerous runs on and off the ball. Asekomhe also connected well with forward Anuhea Aalona and was always a target for thrown-ins and long free kicks. She didn’t have a really good chance to score but made Tompkins’ defenders work hard to contain her.

Asekomhe has game-breaking qualities. She is also already a highly-decorated prospect. She made the 2024 id2 National Selection International Tour roster. She scored the lone goal for that team in the win over Real Madrid. Asekomhe showed well during the ECNL playoffs. She played as the No. 9 for her club side. She has good instincts with her back-to-goal play. She has a quick burst with her first step and the ability to allude challenges with her skill on the ball. Asekomhe has shown glimpses of greatness at the highest level to lead scouts to believe she is capable of reaching the top levels of the game.
