After a somewhat slow first half, the senior midfielder was much more active in the second part of the match, being a valuable offensive weapon for the Spartans. Sorto made good plays on the left side of his team’s attack, and in one of them, he drew the foul that generated Reynoso’s ejection, which created a significant advantage for the Spartans in what was a very close match. He assisted Aguillon to score the team’s second goal with a well-weighted pass and set up other teammates in the final third. Sorto did a good job of exploring the space offered by Taylor at the end of the match and had good plays on the left, scoring the team’s fourth and last goal in one of them.

The senior was Seven Lakes’ main attacking option in the match, assisting in three of the team’s four goals. Sorto played more centrally in the first half and used his dribbling ability to create space and his vision to make plays in the final third. He was very smart to quickly take a free kick and catch Paetow’s backline disorganized in the first goal and perfectly-weighted his pass in the second. Sorto moved to left winger in the second half and tormented Paetow’s right back in 1v1 duels, beating him off the dribble before crossing to assist in the third goal.

The senior midfielder was easily the most impactful player on the field, scoring twice and getting a pair of assists as the Spartans built their comfortable victory. Sorto played mostly on the left of the team’s midfield, taking defenders off the dribble in 1v1 plays and also combining well with his teammates. Sorto also did a good job of coming inside to make plays and demonstrated great vision to find final passes and fire shots around the penalty box. She did very well in both of his goals, sending the ball outside of Dekaney’s goalkeeper’s reach, and got an assist after a beautiful play down the left and another one with a penalty cross using the outside of his foot.

The junior playmaker had a great match and was heavily influential in his team’s dominant performance. Sorto started the match in sort of a box-to-box midfielder role and combined very well with fellow midfielder David Aguillon to make plays through the center of the field. As the match progressed, he moved into more of an offensive role and continued to be dangerous, showing excellent vision and quality to connect one-touch passes and break pressure. Sorto made a great run off the ball to get in a good spot to score the team’s third goal with a cheeky finish. He moved to the left during the second half and continued to be dangerous, using his dribbling ability to bring the ball inside and finish and almost scored twice in plays like this.

A new face with Seven Lakes this season, Sorto had somewhat of a slow start to the match as it seemed he was finding the best spot for him to play. The talented midfielder became way more active after the first 20 minutes, when he started to help his team control the midfield with smart passing and good connections with his teammates. In the second half, Sorto was at his best, getting the ball from the center backs to initiate plays and appearing as an option in the final third to create chances. He also did a good job with his set pieces and contributed defensively.
