Zavala started the match playing as a wide midfielder on the right and didn’t get much involved in his team’s attacking plays in the first half. He started coming inside more often to combine with his teammates in the second half, and his game grew a lot, as he showed good vision and movement off the ball. Zavala did very well in the play of the Rangers’ second goal, making a great diagonal run to get into the end of Cabezas’s cross and using a creative resource to redirect it into the back of the net. The midfielder was also very active defensively, always tracking back and supporting his team’s game off the ball.
