Baxter switched gears in the halftime break and turned a somewhat fruitless first-half performance into solid production, with a goal and two assists in the final 40 minutes. The dynamic midfielder presented a very high work rate to move the ball upfield with direct runs and excellent vision to attempt passes behind the backline. Baxter did very well in following up Dietz’s shot to pick up the rebound and score the team’s third goal by tapping the ball into an open net. She was very good in set pieces, registering an assist off a corner kick, and made a smart run to initiate the play of the team’s fourth and last goal.

Baxter and her Albion Hurricanes FC team got a win and a loss in their trip to Dallas. The dynamic attacking midfielder was one of just a few players on the team to have strong performances in their 2-0 loss to FC Stars Blue. With Albion down two goals early in the match, they had to push forward, and most of what they did offensively went through Baxter. The midfielder looked for the ball the entire time, and tried to make plays while drifting to the left side, showing good ability to dribble it and solid passing vision. Baxter also fired a dangerous shot in goal, which was stopped by the opposing goalkeeper.

Baxter was the engine of Albion’s midfield and did the heavy work of connecting the team with class and intelligence. She got on the ball a lot and was very direct and efficient with how she moved it forward, executing nice passes and making strong runs through the center of the field. Baxter did a good job of sliding into the left side of Albion’s attack during the first half and made good plays there, firing a pair of dangerous shots from there, one of which hit the crossbar. The midfielder was also very precise with her set-piece deliveries, assisting Woodford in the team’s second goal with an accurate corner kick cross.

Playing up, Baxter was only on the field during part of the second half, but still managed to make a big impact and play a major role in Albion’s dominant performance. She scored two goals in her first seven minutes on the field, displaying great ability to finish from mid-range. Operating in central midfield, she brought a lot of intensity to the game, working well on both sides of the ball and helping her team control the center of the field. Baxter was very dynamic and efficient in possession, beating defenders with quick moves and turns and creating space for her to drive the ball forward or find teammates with her accurate passes.

Baxter will play for the Albion Hurricanes FC 10 team, which will meet La Roca FC, Match Fit Academy and Kansas City Athletics in this weekend’s event. She’s a dynamic midfield player, who competes with tremendous energy and is well-versed on the offensive side of the game. Baxter likes to play centrally and is very dangerous with her ability to create space with turns and quick moves and then quickly sprint forward, leaving opponents behind and pushing the ball forward. She’s very difficult to stop in progression and also appears well inside the penalty box to finish chances. Baxter is a solid passer too, being capable of connecting with teammates in transition plays and also in buildup plays.

Baxter was the heart of her Friendswood team in their 3-1 loss to Atascocita in the second round of the Falcon Bracket. The freshman was a dynamo in midfield, appearing in every corner of the field and doing great work on the ball. Baxter was very good at making turns to create space when under pressure and when she created a little bit of room, she’d start dangerous runs through the middle, dribbling the ball quickly and efficiently. She also distributed the ball well, displaying great vision and accuracy with her passing.
