Favenesi is one of the goalkeepers in the Albion Hurricanes FC G09 team that will play in the North American Cup, beginning their journey against California’s Marin FC. Her positioning between the posts is excellent, often limiting the possibilities for opposing forwards when finishing chances and putting her in spots that allow her to impact the game. Favenesi is also very good in 1v1 plays, using her length very well and making some impressive leg saves. The goalkeeper also does a good job of putting the ball back in play with quick throws to her teammates and accurate punts.

The sophomore was subbed in near the end of the first half and did well in keeping a clean sheet in the 40+ minutes she was on the field. Favenasi helped Tompkins sustain Seven Lakes’ strong push near the end with impressive solidity. She had to make some difficult saves and was very reliable, responding well every time she was called to action. Favenasi also helped her team get the ball into the attacking half with accurate punts, relieving the opponents’ pressure for some valuable seconds.
