The MLS Next All-Star match is coming up soon, being played this Monday. To have a good scope of the talent we'll be seeing on display, it's important to be familiar with some of the players. Both rosters presented are full of players who are among the most talented in the whole country. The focus in this article will be on the eastern team.

Daniel is the youngest player on the Eastern roster and one of the biggest attacking talents in the country. He can play on either wing, but his talent on the right wing is unreal. The agility he demonstrates with the ball at his feet is dazzling. He deals with being under pressure phenomenally. When playing out on the right, he looks to cut in as much as possible. Either to finish a chance himself or to play a wonderful pass, his goal is always to create danger. Though he is a player who always cuts in, his ball control makes it nearly impossible to defend him. He plays passes with great flair and precision as well. He's made his professional debut already and is eligible to represent both the US and Honduras.

Oscar is an exciting prospect who can play as both a winger and an attacking midfielder. He involves himself in plays constantly, dropping back or going into spaces to receive the ball. On the ball, he loves to put on a show. He's extremely skillful, getting the better of his markers spectacularly. This, alongside how agile and fast he is, makes him a headache for the opposition. His passes are another weapon that makes him so dangerous. Wherever he plays the passes from, he makes sure they're as precise as possible. His chance creation from out wide and through the middle is superb. He plays passes with incredible flair too. Like Daniel before, he's also eligible to play for both the US and Honduras.

Marcellus is an exciting and imposing center back who combines physicality and technique wonderfully. His height gives him an important advantage against the opposition from the get-go. Any cross into the box where he's near will end with him clearing the danger. In attack, he's an aerial threat either through being the finisher or playing a second ball to a teammate. Back to his defensive capabilities, one of my favorite attributes is his strong tackling. He loves to go to ground dominantly and cleanly. When he goes into tackles, he goes in with the double intention of keeping both the ball and man away from his own goal. Despite how strong he tackles, he makes sure to be clean with them. Playing out from the back is another strength. His through balls are fantastic, playing them as if he were a midfielder.

David is a talented defensive midfielder who can also play as a central midfielder, and whose talent can see him play as a center back. Defensively, he makes himself a player the opposing attack wants to avoid. His physique and strength make him a difficult player to get around. The way he uses his body also shows how intelligent he is in reading the game. This translates to his ball-playing too. He plays long passes with incredible power and precision, no matter where he is on the pitch. Either lobbed or driven, his long passes find a teammate in open space to create danger. When the ball is in his possession in the middle of the pitch, he creates space for himself very well. He'll dribble into space or use his body to shield the opposition away so that he can comfortably play passes.
