Below is a scouting report on a few of the players who shined from the 2027 group.
Tools to develop into a top No. 9 in the country. Physically imposing player with game-breaking ability. Barnes is putting it together consitently lately. She has the pace to just run past defenders, the skill to dribble around defenders in the box, and the strength to hold off defenders with ease. Barnes had a number of highlight reel moments in recent games in the Girls Academy.
rnAttacking midfielder
rnHigh-activity player. Always working and buzzing around the field. Will commit to making the run to open up the field for her teammates or provide an option for the pass. Good skill. Excellent in combination play.
Would’ve been a top player in the 2026 class. Big time potential. Dominant run of form for IMG Academy in the Girls Academy. Can play as either an attacking midfielder or a center forward. Defenses can’t afford to get her an inch of space around the box. Capable finisher with either foot, also a good finisher with her head. Deligans has the physical profile, skill, and determination to be a top player in the national rankings for this class.
Highlights
rnRight center back. Tall. Excellent defender. YNT quality on the ball defender. She is athletic with a long stride. Can shut down anyone in the 08 age group when she is on her game. Hits a pretty good long ball – could work on her finesse with long passes (i.e. when to put some back spin on the ball, or when to float the service).
She is a 2027 who has played alongside 2023s/2024s in the past. She has the game that easily translates to the next level. She is a battler at center forward. Strong on the ball and good in combination play, Gano has stood out from the 08 age group during this ECNL campaign.
